Collecting Rice, Distributing Mercy

24 January 2017

"Gurudev told me, 'You must remember that I will never buy rice for Gaura Purnima. I can spend so much money and make Gaura Purnima festival, but I cannot buy rice for Gaura Purnima.' Then I understood what Gurudev wanted. He wants to give benefit to others, and he wants us to go for collection for that reason."
(Srila B.N. Acharya Maharaj, More Than Meets the Eye)

If you give a bucket of stool to a pig, it will be so happy, 'Oh, I am taking nectar!'
So, you take this 'nectar' and do parikrama, rounding the material worlds, taking birth
and death, birth and death, and eating so many bad things... And the life is wasted.
