Sri Nabadwip Dham Parikrama:
Day One

19 March 2016

 


Awakened at 3 a.m. by the loud speaker, the devotees take bath and gather for the holy arati of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj.

 


 


 


 


 


 


 


After the aratis at the samadhi mandirs and the main temple, His Divine Grace starts the annual parikrama of Sri Nabadwip Dham.

 


 


 


 


As soon as the parikrama party starts off, it begins to rain, but despite the unexpected shower, devotees do not leave the parikrama and continue with excitement.

 


 


Crossing the holy waters of the Ganges.

 


 


 


On the other bank, His Divine Grace is waiting for everyone to cross the Ganges.

 


After kirtan, Sripad Tyagi Maharaj is requested to speak on the glories of Sri Ganga Devi.

 


After an hour or two wait, devotee start the parikrama of Sri Mayapur.

The next stop is Sri Nandanacharya Bhavan (the place where Nimai met Nityananda Prabhu)
founded by Srila Bhakti Saranga Goswami Maharaj.

 


 


 


 


After that, the party proceeds to the puspa samadhi mandir of His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj Prabhupad.

Srila Gaura Kishor Das Babaji Maharaj's samadhi mandir (the original samadhi mandir was on the bank of the Ganges, but as the current changed and began to wash it off, Srila Prabhupad transferred it to its present location).
