Sri Gurudev Stuti

jaya jaya gurudeva acharya nirmala
koladvipa majhe tomara lila avirala [1]

All glory to Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj! Gurudev, you are a pure acharya, and your pastimes are continuing eternally in Koladwip.

tumi bhakti nirmala tomara karuna nirmala
tomara mata guru paoya bhuvane virala [2]

You embody pure devotion, and your mercy is pure, too. It is very rare in this world to find a guru like you.

tumi dayala tumi mukta tumi karunamaya
goloka majhare tomara mahima ye gaya [3]

You are compassionate, situated beyond material bondage and very merciful. Your glories are chanted in Goloka.

guru-krpaya tumi kara asana alankrta
adhama janere krpa kara avirata [4]

By the mercy of your guru, you are adorning the holy seat of the acharya. You always bestow mercy on all lowly souls.

mahaprabhura katha mata grame ganje giya
hariname bhuvanakhani dile ye bhariya [5]

Fulfilling Mahaprabhu’s prediction, you travel to every village and marketplace, filling this world with the Holy Names of the Lord.

parampara-dhara tumi kara alokita
suryera kiranera mata tri-bhuvana bhusita [6]

Like a sun ray, you illuminate the current of the disciplic succession, adorning the entire three worlds.

guru-ajnaya bahu-dese mandira sthapiya
mahaprabhura siksa tumi dile ye bilaiya [7]

On the order of your gurudev, you have established temples in many places and liberally distributed Mahaprabhu’s teachings.

papi-tapi yata chhila prachye o paschatye
bhakati-siddhanta-dhara pauchhe dile ese [8]

You brought sinners and miserable souls from both East and West to the line of devotion (to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur’s line).

patita-pavana tumi karunara sindhu
adhama janara tumi agatira bandhu [9]

A rescuer of the fallen, you are an ocean of mercy. You are a friend of the lowly souls bereft of shelter.

matta matanga gati madhura manda hasa
yena tumi avadhuta nitaiyera prakasa [10]

Your holy gait resembles that of a maddened elephant, your smile is very sweet – adorned with these features, you are an embodiment of Nitai Avadhut.

kirtana karaha tumi jivera lagiya
chetana karao tumi krsna-nama diya [11]

You chant kirtan for the benefit of all jiva souls, awakening their consciousness through the Holy Name.

jhalamala ankhi yena purna-sasadhara
kothao na dekhi emana dayara sagara [12]

Your gleaming eyes resemble the full moon. Nowhere have we ever seen such an ocean of compassion.

prema-rase bhasaila akhila samsara
dubila koladvipa jahnavira dhara [13]

You flooded the entire material world with the ecstasy of divine love for the Lord, submerging Koladwip on the bank of the Ganges.

brahma mahesvara adi bhave mane mane
ananta bhavena yare sahasra-vadane [14]

Brahma, Siva and others meditate on that love in their minds, and Anatansesa meditates on it with his thousand months.

tomara murati sada kariba arati
nayana bhariya sei heriba murati [15]

I will always worship your divine form, beholding it to my eyes’ content.

tomara mahima yeba karibe kirtana
e adhama mage sada tanhara charana [16]

This lowly soul is always praying for the holy feet of whoever chants your glories.
