Sri Ratha Yatra: Day One

Sri Puri Dham, Odisha, India
14 July 2015

In the wee hours of the morning, the devotees finally reach Sri Puri Dham station and with kirtan and joy head towards the temple to take the shelter of Sri Sri Nitai Chaitanya. At 4 p.m. the devotees made a short parikrama to the shore of the ocean: taking the holy water of maha-tirtha on their heads and remembering the Pastimes of Mahaprabhu and Srila Haridas Thakur. Then the parikrama party proceeded to siddha bakul, the samadhi mandir of Srila Haridas Thakur that was made by Mahaprabhu Himself, and then on to chatak parvat, that is considered nondifferent from Govardhan in Sri Puri Dham (where there is also Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur's bhajan kutir). The last stop for the day was Tota-Gopinath, the temple, the Deity and the bhajan kutir of Srila Gadadhar Pandit—the place where Lord Gopinath mercifully knelt so that Sri Gagadhar Pandit, in his old age, could garland Him.

Gurudev can see everything—if somebody thinks Gurudev cannot see any more,
this is a misconception.
