Best Servitor

Question: Being here in the US, we are so far away from Nabadwip, how can we best serve you and your mission?

By following Gurudev's conception, by chanting the Holy Name and preaching this conception, spreading it. Always tell the devotees, "I do not want anything from you, I only want some good association through the devotees." And you can preach to others, teach others what you have learnt yourself, in this way you can make the Mission there and spread it. You can always preach to the devotees. When you talk to somebody, talk about the Lord, about your Guru, about Krishna consciousness, about your practising life.

Always stay in devotees' association, follow devotees' instruction, Gurudev's instruction—only this. You can stay anywhere, far or near, it is actually not necessary to stay directly with Gurudev. Somebody may be always staying with Gurudev, but they do not follow Gurudev's instruction; and if somebody is far, a few thousand kilometres away, but they follow Gurudev's instruction, they are the best servitors.

My only request to you is: you can stay anywhere, it is not a problem, but you must maintain, you must continue your practising life. "Vaishnava-seva and Nama-sankirtan, achirat tumi pabe Krsna-prema-dhan: serve Vaishnavs and do Nama-sankirtan, then you will get reality, you will get the proper things." My only request to you is preach. When you see somebody, tell them, "Please, chant Hare Krishna," "Please serve the Mission," "Please come." Whoever you meet, you can tell them one-two words about the Lord, about spiritual matter. Sometimes people will be annoyed, they will not listen to you, but tell them again and again, then one day they will hear it. Preach in this way and you can increase the Mission, then you will be the best servitor. You can talk to me sometimes, if you have any question, you can get in touch with me, I have no objection. OK? Also, you have senior devotees there, always take good advice, keep good association—it is necessary. How will you get association of Gurudev? You can say that Gurudev is not alive now, but Gurudev is in his words now. If you read his scriptures, his books, if you read or listen to his lectures, you will get his association. In the same way, how will you get association of Swami Maharaj, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj Srila Prabhupad? If you hear his Hari-katha, you will get his association.
