'If somebody has a relationship with their guru, if somebody has been able to know and understand their guru, they will never be separated, or detached, from their guru. 'What does service mean? Service is not pleasing yourself. Service means pleasing your gurudev. I do not need to be pleased – I must always think how my guru can be pleased. 'We pray to Gurudev, "If I do not get your mercy, I cannot do anything." No matter how much you may know, no matter how many good qualities you may have, you will not get anywhere and you will not be able to do anything unless you have your guru's mercy.'

Give Wholesale Attention
'Is it possible to do two things at a time? Is it possible to chant the Holy Name and say something else at the same time or listen to the lecture at the same time? But how can we practise all sixty-four devotional practices at the same time? Srila Prabhupad gave the answer.'

Harmonising Wisely
'Your five fingers are not the same, so five servitors will also not be the same. It is necessary to manage and serve together with everyone. If somebody is going down a bad road, you must talk to them, explain it to them, you must try to keep them in this line. Never reject them.'

Devious Distractor
"Chant Hare Krishna and Maya Devi will go away, but she will stand nearby—as soon as you get weak again, she will attack. She is always roaming everywhere waiting to seize you, and once she seizes you she will not let you go."

Sadhus' Blessing
"People come to me and ask, "Maharaj, give me your blessing (asirvad)." Do you know what kind of blessing we give? May you have a good husband, may you have a good wife, may you have a good job, etc.—we do not wish for this. Vaishnavs go house to house distributing such wealth to people by which all the things of this world seem insignificant."

Wait No More
"You have found a bona fide Guru—there is no need to wait any longer! Take shelter of the lotus feet of Gurudev and all these miseries will be over. Have faith. Promise to me that you will not forget Krishna."

Our Identity
"As you sow so you reap—if I cannot chant the Holy Name in this life, I will have to come back next life. There are 37 000 jiva souls standing in the queue at every moment, and only one of them gets a human birth. What happens to the rest of the 36 999 souls?"

Religion of the Soul

"We do not have time to chant the Holy Name, but we have time to talk and gossip with others. This is a waste of time. Days are passing; practise Krishna consciousness. Set some time aside to practise Krishna consciousness. In devotional practice, many unwanted things, many bad qualities come—we must be always alert and careful with that."

Pitfalls of Vaishnav Seva
"If you do Vaishnav seva, you will get good result, but if you become proud of yourself or some pratistha comes to you, then you will be in danger. If you indulge your ego and run behind pratistha, then you will become very heavy and your boat will sink. Always be careful that such things do not come to your heart."

Beyond Visaya
"We must remember how these great Vaishnavs maintained their life, how they lived, how they served the Lord. If you want to be a devotee, you must hear, read, and follow these things. If we do not practise Krishna consciousness, then this life is useless."

Seed of Devotion
"You have already joined Krishna's family, you are serving Krishna's devotees, and now you are going to take the holy seed of devotion. If you take proper care of that seed, it will one day grow into a tree and you will get the fruit—you will get taste through that chanting. It is necessary to chant the Holy Name for that."
