Lip-Deep

great joy every day.' And what do we do? If we see some paneer floating on

Keep Afloat
"The Holy Name of Krishna never appears in bad association. The Holy Name
appears only in good association. What does association with devotees mean?
How will you get association of your Guru? You will get the association of
your Guru by serving your Guru."

"We always want Gurudev's mercy because without his mercy we cannot
understand Gurudev. You cannot understand the Guru with these material eyes,
with your material knowledge, your brain—you need to have a heart, and
ultimately you need mercy..."

"Guru and Vaishnavs try to do everything so that we do not turn away from the
service of the Lord. Maya is pulling us in one direction, Guru and Vaishnavs
are pulling us in the other direction, and our mind is perverted and fickle.
If we do not practise all the time, then we will have to come to this
position time after time."

"To rescue us, the Lord gives us some engagement, but we live just to have
some money, to have some food and clothes... We have got this human birth but
only worry about these things! How will we be rescued from this
situation?"

"The Lord's service can never be stopped. If somebody thinks, 'The temple
cannot run without me!' that is their mistake, that is their ego. If somebody
has such ego, it is their own problem and misconception—they will suffer for

Understand Your Duty
"You can see worms in cow dung—they are enjoying so much in it, they are so
comfortable in it that if you take them out, they will again go into the cow
dung. It is necessary to fear this. If we do not serve the Lord, what will be
our position? What danger will we be in?!"
"We are always busy with our own interest, with our own enjoyment, but we must understand: who do we love more, our Guru or ourselves? We must realise it for ourselves in our heart. If we love our Guru more, then we must serve more—we must give more time for our Guru."
