Appearance of Sri Giriraj

...When I was doing Govardhan parikrama, I was looking both sides, thinking (Gurudev was also thinking), "You have made the temple in Govinda Kunda, but how you will bring Govardhan? How will you get Him?" I kept thinking about it, and suddenly I saw a boy run out of our parikrama to the Govardhan Hill. He picked a Govardhan sila and ran to me.

I was surprised, "What are you doing?!" I had an uttariya with me and quickly gave it to him to cover the sila because if the Vraja-basis saw him, they would beat him.

So, we hid Govardhan and kept Him in the bus. For protection, I bought one big pot-like brass bowl to cover Giriraj and started His puja in the bus. I told some devotees to worship Giriraj every day—offer bhog, etc—because we took Giriraj from Govardhan, but the bus was going to Delhi, then to Haridwar and many other places, and we had to worship Him properly. Then, the temple in Govinda Kunda was finished and we made the inauguration festival and started Giriraj puja there—He was installed in the Gupta Govardhan temple.

Also, in Govardhan, there is Giriraj Deity—Gurudev gave Him the name Anugiriraj, "anu" means "small".

We had bought some land in Govardhan and at the time of Kartik month Gurudev told me to cultivate wheat there. We started cultivating with a big tractor, and when the tractor was ploughing, suddenly a Giriraj sila came out. A panda (priest) came and confirmed, "Yes, this is really Giriraj." Then, at the same place where He was found, we made a small tin shed house and started the worship there. Later, Gurudev made the temple there, in Govardhan...
