"May Our Pilgrimage Be Successful"

His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj
31 October 2018, on the train Kolkata-Dvaraka

First of all, I am offering my full obeisance at the lotus feet of Om Vishnupad Jagad Guru Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, begging him for his causeless mercy, after that I am offering my obeisance to all Guru-varga, all the worldwide acharyas, to all my God-brothers and sisters, to all devotees and all of you praying for your mercy to this low soul.

Today is a very good day. We have not been able to have a proper class for a few days because I have been very busy—yesterday, since the afternoon I had been arranging everything, and today, together with all the devotees, we are going to Vrindavan, and we are going to stop first in Dvaraka.

We will visit Dvarakadish temple, Byet Dvaraka, Rukmini's temple, Satyabhama's temple, Somnath (Prabhas tirtha). As a part of our tour, the day after tomorrow we will also observe the appearance festival of Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj in Dvaraka. We have already made the necessary arrangement. From Dvaraka, we will go to Vrindavan and Govardhan.

Actually, we are going to Dvaraka to learn something about the pastimes of Krishna—He performed many pastimes there, He lived there with Rukmini, Satyabhama and His 16 108 queens. One time, Sudama Vipra also went to Dvaraka from Vrindavan. We will see the place where he stopped when he had got thirsty and remember how he got some water from a well there. It is a very authentic place. How special were Sudama Vipra and his wife! Krishna called His friend Sudama to Dvaraka, and Sudama came. A poor brahman who had suffered so much in his life—he does not know anything, he only knows that he has love and affection for Krishna. When he met Krishna, Krishna embraced him, and he got so much mercy from the Lord.

A while ago, I spoke here on the train and said that we always visit many holy places—we always go to Govardhan for Govardhan puja—but many may think, "Why go to Dvaraka instead of Vrindavan?" Although Mahaprabhu could not go there, Nityananda Prabhu did: He came to Dvaraka to take the darshan of Krishna-lila. Satyabhama became Jagadananda Pandit in Mahaprabhu's pastimes. Narad Muni stayed here also. If we are fortunate, by Krishna's mercy, we can get the darshan of this place. We pray to Gurudev and to the Lord that our pilgrimage may be successful.

I would like to finish here.

Are you unhappy with others' service? Do you like going to the beach and Ganges? Do you like what is on others' plate? Is your mind disturbing you?
