Question: Considering that Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the only incarnation of Krishna who came together with Radharani, as Radharani's heart and halo, who brought the maha-mantra to us then? Did Krishna bring it or was it Radharani who brought it, since it was Her heart and halo, Her mercy that Krishna came to embody?

No, Gaura Hari brought the Holy Name. It is Krishna Himself, but Gaura Hari was the one who told about the Holy Name.

Devotee: But was it the mercy of Radharani?

Yes, it is the mercy of Radharani, but it is Gaura Hari who told about chanting the Holy Name. Gaura Hari Himself says, "You can see how much mercy Krishna has bestowed all over the world, in the entire universe!" Another thing is that Gaura Hari and Krishna are non-different. If you can see any difference between them, it is offensive.

I wrote about it in Guidance, Vol. 4 (chapter 'Merciful Sri Gaura Hari'):

"Magnanimous Sri Sri Gaurasundar is an incarnation of mercy The Lord's forms are unlimited. The form that Sri Gaura Hari spoke about is Sri Krsna, the son of Nanda Maharaj. The Lord has unlimited pastimes (Gaura Hari Himself told that), He embodies all divine mellows of devotion (rasa). Sri Sri Gaurasundar showed the beauty and excellence of worship of Sri Krsna. Sri Krsna is full of sweet pastimes, He is the acme of all types of divine relationships (rasa) and divine love (prema). Sri Gaurasundar Himself appeared in six forms to teach the souls about this divine love—Sri Nityananda (His non-different form), Sri Advaita Acharya (incarnation of a devotee), Sri Gadadhar (the Lord's internal potency), Srivas Pandit (bhakta-tattva), and Sri Guru. Sri Krsna performs many sweet pastimes, but He is the source of all incarnations, and He is the only object of worship—this is the opinion of Sri Gaura Hari."

It is written clearly here, and it is easy to understand.

It is said in the scriptures that Gaura and Krishna are non-different from each other, and if anyone draws any distinction, they will go to a terrible hell of boiling oil.

...I have told you today about Srimati Radharani and also about Sri Gaura Hari because Gaura Hari comes as a combined form of Sri Krishna and Srimati Radharani. What does He come for?

শ্রীরাধায়াঃ প্রণয়মহিমা কীদৃশো বানয়ৈবা-
স্বাদ্যো যেনাদ্ভুতমধুরিমা কীদৃশো বা মদীয়ঃ ।
সৌখ্যঞ্চাস্যা মদনুভবতঃ কীদৃশং বেতি লোভা-
ত্তদ্ভাবাঢ্যঃ সমজনি শচীগর্ভসিন্ধৌ হরীন্দুঃ ॥

sri-radhayah pranaya-mahima kidrso vanayaivasvadyo
yenadbhuta-madhurima kidrso va madiyah
saukhyam chasya mad-anubhavatah kidrsam veti lobhat
tad-bhavadhyah samajani sachigarbha-sindhau harinduh

"'What is that great glory of Sri Radha's love? What is My extraordinary loving sweetness and charm that Sri Radha enjoys? And what is the joy Sri Radha feels by experiencing My sweetness and charm?' Yearning to taste these three sentiments, the moon—Krishna-chandra—was born from the ocean of the womb of mother Sachi."

Krishna thought, "Why is Radharani crying for Me? Why is Radharani crying so much taking My Name? What sort of happiness does She get chanting My Name? I want to know this, that is why I must become a devotee in this age of Kali. I want to taste what sort of taste Radharani is getting." That is why, Krishna came as a combined form of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna, taking the heart and halo of Srimati Radharani. We can read about these things, and we can also read the chapter "Association and mercy of Sri Gurupadpadma give divine love." This is the heading I gave to this chapter. How can one get Divine Love? By the mercy of Gurudev, which means by the mercy of Radharani. You can get Krishna-prema by the mercy of Srimati Radharani.

At the same time, I also wrote about a poet named Gunakar. He wrote many things about Radharani, but he could not understand who She really is. He stayed in Puri, but he could not understand what is Radharani's mood, what is Srila Raghunath Das Goswami's mood. He pretended to know some things, but later he ended up leaving Puri. Bengali people think that Radharani is an ordinary girl, that Her relationship with Lord Sri Krishna is some ordinary things. Everyone wants to go to Vrindavan and live at Radha Kunda. People go there and open their shop. What do they know about the meaning of Radha Kunda? I have told you what happened when a demon Aristasur, disguised as a bull, attacked Govardhan Hill with its horns and what is the meaning of this incident. People do not know what is Radha Kunda and what is Shyama Kunda. Materialists and those who are always engrossed in material enjoyment cannot understand Radha-tattva. Radha-tattva is an extremely highest topic.
