We are souls ruined by Kali, we do not understand anything. But even those who have taken initiation also forget that we must be humbler than a blade of grass, more tolerant than a tree, and it is necessary to give honour to others.

In our Math, after the bhoga-arati finishes, there are two more arati songs at noon: 'Jaya Yasomati-nandana' and 'Jaya Sachi-nandana' (Mahaprabhu's kirtan composed by Srila Sridhar Maharaj). Have heard the name of Srila Sridhar Maharaj? We give him 'jay' when we recite 'Jaya Dhvani'. He composed a kirtan specially for Mahaprabhu. Do you not have a Deity of Mahaprabhu here?

জয় শচীনন্দন, সুর-মুনিবন্দন,
ভবভয়-খণ্ডন জয় হে ।
জয় হরিকীর্ত্তন, নর্ত্তনা বর্ত্তন,
কলিমল-কর্ত্তন জয় হে ॥১॥

jaya sachi-nandana, sura-muni-vandana,
bhava-bhaya-khandana jaya he
jaya hari-kirtana, nartana vartana,
kali-mala-kartana jaya he [1]

'All glory to Sri Sachi-nandan, who is worshipped by demigods and sages! All glory to He who destroys all fear of material existence! All glory to the inaugurator of dancing and chanting of the Lord's Names! All glory to He who removes the contamination of Kali!'

'Kali-mala' means the dirt (the stool) of Kali. When Sachinandan Gaurahari appeared, all stool, all dirt of Kali was removed.

নয়ন-পুরন্দর, বিশ্বরূপ স্নেহধর,
বিশ্বম্ভর বিশ্বের কল্যাণ ।
জয় লক্ষ্মী-বিষ্ণুপ্রিয়া, বিশ্বম্ভর-প্রিয়হিয়া,
জয় প্রিয় কিঙ্কর ঈশান ॥২॥

nayana-purandara, visvarupa sneha-dhara,
visvambhara visvera kalyana
jaya laksmi-visnupriya, visvambhara priya hiya
jaya priya kinkara isana

'Sri Sachi Nandan is the delight of everyone's eyes. He is affectionate to His brother Visvarup. He is the maintainer of the world and the embodiment of its good fortune. All glory to Laksmipriya and Vishnupriya, who are dear to Vishvambhar's heart! All glory to His dear servant Ishan!'

'Visvambhara visvera kalyana': Mahaprabhu Vishvambhar brings auspiciousness to the entire world. As the result, there so many thousands of devotees all over the world now. You can see Maharaj sitting here with us. When he was white-clad, he went for preaching with me to Sabang, to the area where our Mednipore Math is now. It must have been eleven years ago. Now he has taken sannyas.

শ্রীসীতা-অদ্বৈতরায়, মালিনী-শ্রীবাস জয়,
জয় চন্দ্রশেখর আচার্য্য ।
জয় নিত্যানন্দ রায়, গদাধর জয় জয়,
জয় হরিদাস নামাচার্য্য ॥৩॥

sri-sita-advaita-raya, malini-srivasa jaya,
jaya chandrasekhara acharya
jaya nityananda raya, gadadhara jaya jaya,
jaya haridasa namacharya [3]

'All glory to Sita Thakurani and Advaita Acharya! All glory to Malini Devi and Srivas Thakur! All glory to Chandrasekhar Acharya! All glory to Nityananda Ray! All glory to Gadadhar Pandit! All glory to Namacharya Haridas Thakur!'

মুরারি মুকুন্দ জয়, প্রেমনিধি মহাশয়,
জয় যত প্রভু পারিষদ ।
বন্দি সবাকার পায় অধমেরে কৃপা হয়,
ভক্তি সপার্ষদ-প্রভুপাদ ॥৪॥

murari mukunda jaya, premanidhi mahasaya,
jaya yata prabhu parisada
vandi sabakara paya, adhamere krpahaya,
bhakti saparsada-prabhupada [4]

'All glory to Murari Gupta, Mukunda Datta, and Pundarik Vidyanidhi! All glory to all the associates of Sri Sachi-nandan! I offer my obeisance at their feet. By their mercy upon this fallen soul, I serve Srila Prabhupad and his associates.'

We sing this kirtan every noon. In the morning, we also sing:

কলি-কুক্কুর-কদন যদি চাও হে ।
কলিযুগ-পাবন, কলিভয়-নাশন,
শ্রীশচী-নন্দন-গাও হে ॥১॥

kali-kukkura-kadana yadi chao he
kali-yuga-pavana, kali-bhaya-nasana,
sri-sachi-nandana gao he [1]

'If you want to slay the dog Kali, the destroyer of religion, chant the Name of Sri Sachi-nandan, the saviour in the Age of Kali and the destroyer of the fear of Kali.'

গদাধর-মাদন, নিতাই-এর প্রাণধন,
অদ্বৈতের প্রপূজিত গোরা ।
নিমাই বিশ্বম্ভর, শ্রীনিবাস-ঈশ্বর,
ভক্তসমূহ-চিত্তচোরা ॥২॥

gadadhara-madana, nitai-era prana-dhana,
advaitera prapujita gora
nimai visvambhara, srinivasa-isvara,
bhakata samuha-chita-chora

'He is Gadadhar's joy and Nitai's life and wealth. He is Gora, supremely worshippable Lord of Advaita Acharya. He is known as Nimai and Vishvambhar, the maintainer of the universe. He is Srivas Thakur's Lord. He steals devotees' hearts.'

নদীয়া-শশধর, মায়াপুর-ঈশ্বর,
নাম-প্রবর্ত্তন-শূর ।
গৃহীজন-শিক্ষক, ন্যাসিকুল-নায়ক,
মাধব-রাধাভাবপূর ॥৩॥

nadiya-sasadhara mayapura-isvara,
nama-prabartana-sura
grhijana-siksaka nyasi-kula-nayaka,
madhava-radhabhava pura

'He is the moon of Nadia, the Lord of Mayapur, and the inaugurator of Hari-nama-sankirtan. He is the teacher of householders and the leader of sannyasis. He is Madhava, replete with Radha's heart.'

সার্ব্বভৌম-শোধন, গজপতি-তারণ,
রামানন্দ-পোষণ-বীর ।
রূপানন্দ-বর্দ্ধন, সনাতন-পালন,
হরিদাস-মোদন-ধীর ॥৪॥

sarvabhauma-sodhana, gajapati-tarana,
ramananda-posana-vira
rupananda-vardhana, sanatana-palana,
haridasa-modana-dhira

'He is the purifier of Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya and the deliverer of Maharaj Prataparudra. He is the maintainer of Ramananda Ray and the supreme hero. He is the guardian of Srila Sanatan Goswami and the joy of Srila Rupa Goswami. He is the delight of Haridas Thakur and is perfectly sober.'

ব্রজরস-ভাবন, দুষ্টমত-শাতন,
কপটী-বিঘাতন-কাম ।
শুদ্ধভক্ত-পালন, শুষ্কজ্ঞান-তাড়ন,
ছলভক্তি-দূষণ-রাম ॥৫॥

vraja-rasa-bhavana, dustamata-satana,
kapati-vighatana-kama
suddha bhakta-palana, suska-jnana-tadana,
chhala-bhakti-dusana-rama

'He is absorbed in the ecstatic mood of Vraja. He is the dispeller of misconception, lust and deceit. He is the maintainer of pure devotees. He drives away dry knowledge and destroys the wickedness of false devotion.'

It is such a beautiful kirtan. There are many other kirtans also. I will chant now one kirtan about Mahaprabhu, 'Emana durmati'. My Gurudev always sang it.
