Think About Lord His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
If you want to attain great things, you must give up small things. Suppose you want to run a big business—if you want to run a big business, you have to give up your small business. It is the same here. We can get the Lord Himself, but we do not want to give up small things. Before the Pandavas fought against the Kauravas, Krishna asked the Kauravas, "What do you want?" The Kauravas said, "We want a big army," and the Pandavas said, "We want You." What happened to the Kauravas in the end? They lost the battle. Those who had Krishna on their side won. It is the same here. What will you do? Will you go to your own home or will you keep wandering through hired places all the time? Your own home is the home of the Lord, of Gurudev; and the place where we are now is a rented place. One day or another, when the time comes and the owner kicks us out, we will have to quickly leave this place. Nobody will give time.

maya-jale baddha ha'ye achha michhe kaja la'ye Bound in Maya's net, you work in vain. Now, while you are still conscious, chant 'Radha-Madhava'. You know, when I came to this line, everyone said I had gone crazy—I had left my job and came to the temple. What happened to all those who said that? There were three-four or maybe even five brothers, and my aunties were all beaten by their wives—they would come to one house, the wife would beat them, they would go to another house and another wife beat them. They spent their life suffering, and my mother died peacefully (in knowledge). She had been working, and she died when she was asleep. She did not suffer. Now they say, "Oh, their elder son does not work—he has left and become a sannyasi, but they have such a big house!" and others became poor. Why are they telling this? I never gave any money, I never did anything for them. The Lord says: "If you think about Me, I will think about you. Yet if you yourself think about yourself, then why must I look after you?" Do not think about yourself—always think about the Lord. Our line of devotion is such that we always think about the Lord: "How can I make the Lord happy?" Vraja-gopis did not think about their own sins. They gave their feet dust. Why did they give it? To make Krishna happy. Laksmi could not give it, Siva could not give it, Brahma could not give it, Narad could not give it—nobody could give their feet dust. Krishna had queens, Satyabhauma and Rukmini, but even they could not give their feet dust, thinking, "We worship Krishna, how can we let our feet dust touch Krishna's head? We will be committing a sin!" They worried about themselves. However, Vraja-gopis said, "If our feet dust touches Krishna and Krishna's health comes right, then even if our legs become rotten, we do not care!" Narad said, "But you will go to hell!" They said, "We do not mind it. If we commit a sin, whatever! If our legs rot, whatever! As long as our Krishna is well again, we do not care about anything." This is our line of devotion. This is jnana-sunya-bhakti.
