When all aratis finish, devotees once more gather at the Temple of Love and Affection and with prayers to Sri Guru and Vaishnavas circumambulate all temples, offering on the way their obeisance to the holy bhajan kutirs of Srila B.S. Govinda Maharaj and Srila B.R. Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj, as well as the holy veranda of Srila B.N. Acharya Maharaj.

Morning Parikrama Songs:

(1)

gurudeva!
krpa-bindu diya kara' ei dase
trnapeksa ati dina
sakala-sahane bala diyakara
nija-mane sprha-hina [1]

O Gurudev! Give this servant a drop of your mercy, and make me more humble than a blade of grass. Give me the strength to tolerate everything, and make me free from any desire for personal honour.

sakale sammana karite sakati
deha natha! yatha yatha
tabe ta' gaiba hari-nama sukhe
aparadha habe hata [2]

O master! Give me the ability to befittingly honour everyone. Then I will sing the Lord's Name happily, and all my offences will be eradicated.

kabe hena krpa labhiya e jana
krtartha ha-ibe, natha!
sakti-buddhi-hina ami ati dina
kara more atma-satha [3]

When will this soul attain such mercy and become fulfilled? O master! I am devoid of ability and intelligence, and greatly distressed. Please accept me.

yogyata-vichare kichhu nahi pai
tomara karuna-sara
karuna na ha-ile kandiya kandiya
prana na rakhiba ara [4]

When I examine myself for qualifications, I find none. Your mercy is everything. If you are not merciful to me, then, crying, I will no longer maintain my life.

Composed by Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur

udila aruna purava-bhage
dvija-mani gora amani jage
bhakata-samuha la-iya sathe
(gora) gela nagara-vraje [1]

At the crack of dawn the jewel of the brahmans, Sri Gorachand, awakes. Taking His devotees with Him, He goes out about the town.

'tathai tathai' bajala khola
ghana ghana tahe jhanjera rola
preme dhala dhala sonara anga
(gorar) charane nupura baje [2]

The mridangas resound 'tathai tathai' to the beat of the cymbals as Gaurasundar's golden form sways with ecstatic love and His footbells jingle.

mukunda madhava yadava hari
balena bala re vadana bhari'
michhe nida-vase gela re rati
divasa sarira saje [3]

He calls out, "Chant aloud Mukunda, Madhava, Yadava, Hari! Uselessly you pass the night asleep and the day decorating your body.

emana durlabha manava-deha
paiya ki kara bhavana keha
ebe na bhajile yasoda-suta
charame padibe laje [4]

"Having attained this rare human body, what are you thinking? If you do not serve Krishna now, lastly you will fall into shame.

udita tapana ha-ile asta
dina gela bali' ha-ibe vyasta
tabe kena ebe alasa ha-i'
na bhaja hrdaya-raje [5]

"When the shining sun sets, you become busy, considering that the day has passed. So why are you being lazy now? Why don't you serve the Lord of your heart?

jivana anitya janaha sara
tahe nana-vidha vipada-bhara
namasraya kari' yatane tumi
thakaha apana kaje [6]

"Understand the essence: life is temporary and filled with all sorts of adversity. Carefully taking shelter of the Name, engage in your work."

krsna-nama-sudha kariya pana
judao bhakati-vinoda-prana
nama vina kichhu nahika ara
chaudda-bhuvana-majhe [7]

Drink the nectar of Krishna's Name and soothe Bhakti Vinod's soul. There is nothing to be had but the Name in all the fourteen worlds.

jivera kalyana-sadhana-kama
jagate asi' e madhura nama
avidya-timira-tapana-rupe
hrd-gagane viraje [8]

Desiring to bless all souls, the Lord's sweet Name comes to this world and arises like the Sun within the sky of the heart to dispel the darkness of ignorance.

"Who else is such a friend? Who else is there to rescue you from Maya?

enechhi ausadhi mayanasibara lagi'
hari-nama maha-mantra lao tumi magi' [4]

"I have brought the medicine to dispel Maya. Pray for this Hari-nam maha-mantra and take it.

(magiyalao re)
(sudha-makha ei hari-nam magiyalao re)

"Pray and take it. Pray for the Holy Name, who is dripping with nectar, and take it."
