Eternal Pastimes of Eternal Devotees His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
মূকং করোতি বাচালং পঙ্গুং লঙ্ঘয়তে গিরিম্ ।
mukam karoti vachalam pangum langhayate girim "The dumb can speak, the lame can climb a hill—all it takes is mercy from Gurudev." (Bhavartha Dipika)

om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana-salakaya 'I offer my obeisance unto Sri Gurudev, who has opened my eyes, which were blinded by the darkness of ignorance, applying the kajal of divine knowledge on my eyes.'
গুর্ব্বাভীষ্টসুপূরকং গুরুগণৈরাশীষসংভূষিতং
gurvvabhista-supurakam guru-ganair asisa-sambhusitam I offer my obeisance unto he who perfectly fulfils his Gurudev's most cherished desires; who is fully adorned with the blessings of his Gurudev’s associates; who is expert in all aspects of Vedic knowledge, both conceivable and inconceivable; who is the pre-eminent follower of Srila Rupa Goswami Prabhu's line; who is known as 'Govinda'—Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj; whose beautiful, effulgent, exalted form is infused with pure devotion; who is the Guru of the entire universe; and who is the giver of the seed of divine love for the Supreme Lord. I am giving my full obeisance to my Divine Master Om Vishnupad Jagad-Guru Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, to all Guru-varga, godbrothers and godsisters, as well as all the devotees and everyone else. Today we are very happy to be here, although there is some sad news. When Mahaprabhu asked Ramananda Ray (Cc, 2.8.247), "Duhkha-madhye kona duhkha haya gurutara (দুঃখ-মধ্যে কোন্ দুঃখ হয় গুরুতব)? Which is the most sorrowful day? Which sorrow is the greatest?" Ramananda Ray said, "Krsna-bhakta-viraha vina duhkha nahi dekhi para (কৃষ্ণভক্ত-বিরহ বিনা দুঃখ নাহি দেখি পর): I cannot see any other sorrow except that of separation from a devotee of Krishna." "Bhakta-viraha" means the day when a devotee passes away, is our most sorrowful, most unhappy day... Today we heard that we have lost one devotee from this country, but you know what Mahaprabhu said (it is written in Chaitanya-charitamrita also) when Chhota Haridas committed suicide in Triveni: Chhota Haridas did some little wrong, and all devotees always told Mahaprabhu, "Prabhu, Haridas did some little wrong, please forgive him," but Mahaprabhu could not do that, He became angry. That is why Chhota Haridas jumped into the Ganges and died. The devotees were all sad. When the devotees finished the burning and all the ceremonies and came to Mahaprabhu, Mahaprabhu asked them suddenly, "Where is Chhota Haridas? Please call him, I want to hear a song from him." They said, "Prabhu, he died..." but Mahaprabhu did not believe it. He said, "It cannot happen. My devotee cannot die." When they tried to explain, "No, Prabhu, he died... We have just finished everything—the burning, the sraddha, and all the ceremonies, and we have come to You," Mahaprabhu said, "You do not believe Me? OK. Haridas! Please sing a song!" And Chhota Haridas started singing. Everybody was surprised to hear it. Devotees cannot leave Lord Krishna, Bhagavan, they always stay with Him. Sometimes our eyes see that they change their body, but actually,
অধ্যাপিহ সেই লীলা করে গোরা-রায় ।
adyapiha sei lila kare gora raya "Gora Ray continues performing His Pastimes, and those who are fortunate can see it." Bhagavan's lila, devotees' lila is always going on...
