Encroaching and Poaching

We have to stay together and maintain our Chaitanya Saraswat Mission, Chaitanya Saraswat Math together. Our Mission is Krishna-anusilana Sangha, a worldwide association (sangha), but somebody wants to break it, somebody wants to fish in our pond—there are people who will use you. You must be very careful.

I heard some mission likes Srila Sridhar Maharaj but they do not like Gurudev. If somebody does not like Gurudev, why will I go to them? You must understand this. There are people who want to use you, who want to use your platform. That is why Gurudev always said, "Somebody from another temple wants to come and stay here, but they will come to fish you—they will not come to help you, they will use you!"

Once, I remember one person came to Gurudev (I do not want to say his name). He said something to Gurudev, and Gurudev got very angry, he said, "Do not come to use me—I will use you!" Another time, Gurudev told me some foreign devotee came from ISKCON. He wanted to take sannyas from Srila Sridhar Maharaj, but first he came to Gurudev. Gurudev took him to Srila Sridhar Maharaj, and that person showed Srila Sridhar Maharaj a lot of money. Srila Sridhar Maharaj asked, "Does he want to buy sannyas?..."

Another time, Gurudev told me that some foreign devotee gave a donation to Srila Sridhar Maharaj. Srila Sridhar Maharaj told to him, "OK, give this money to Govinda Maharaj," and he (Srila Sridhar Maharaj) took the money and gave it to Govinda Maharaj. The devotee became upset, he thought, "Oh, I brought that money for service, and Srila Sridhar Maharaj gave it to his assistant Govinda Maharaj..." After that, the devotee said to Srila Sridhar Maharaj, "Guru Maharaj, please use that money for this, this, and this." Srila Sridhar Maharaj immediately changed his mood and showed anger, "You can take your money back! You have given me some pranami, you cannot tell me what I must spend it on."

In Gurudev's time also, some devotee from India gave him a cheque for twenty-six lakhs of rupees, and on the back of the cheque he wrote some conditions, like, "Spend this money on this, this, and this." I went to the bank with that man and Gurudev to cash the cheque, but when Gurudev took the cheque and saw the writing on the back, he immediately tore it up. It was a cheque for twenty-six lakhs of rupees—it is not a small amount of money! After that, the man ran away from Gurudev...

If somebody wants to buy devotion with money, it is not a good idea.

So, we have spent a long time speaking, I am giving my full dandavat to all the devotees and asking them to please forgive my offence.

I am trying as best as I can to serve all the devotees who follow my Guru. My example is this—I will serve whoever follows my Guru. This is my dharma (religion). I promise this, this is my condition, my feeling. I will serve whoever serves my Guru. I do not care whether they are senior, junior, or even my disciple. Actually, I do not think, "Oh, he is my disciple"—I think that they are all Gurudev's disciples, and I can serve them, this is not a problem. If somebody loves my Guru, if somebody serves my Guru, I want to be their servant.

This is my final message. Stay together and be careful. Now are bad times for our mission, there are a few persons who want to destroy our mission and they are mixing with another society, another sampradaya who criticises Srila Sridhar Maharaj. Think about it—they are criticising Srila Sridhar Maharaj! Those who want to destroy our temple have love and affection for another mission that criticises Srila Sridhar Maharaj, that criticises our Gurudev. This is who they are mixing with. Is this what you call paramarthik (spiritual) life? Is this your Krishna consciousness?!

If somebody dislikes your Guru and somebody mixes with such people, it is not your religion to mix with them. You did not come to the temple for that! That is why Gurudev said that chastity and sincerity are very important, and it is very rare to get a chaste person.

It is necessary to think about it and remember this. I do not want to say anything more today.
