Are there any questions from the devotees?

Question: How can we increase our desire to go for preaching?

Through sravan, kirtan, and sadhu sanga, good association. Good association is necessary. You may ask, "How can we get good association?" Read the scriptures, listen to Gurudev's lectures, read Gurudev's books, Guru Maharaj's book, listen to Guru Maharaj's lectures, and you will get desire for preaching.

If through their service somebody becomes proud, thinking, "I am the pujari," or, "I am the manager," it is very harmful for their spiritual life. You should think, "I am the servant of the servant of the servant of the servant. I have come to serve Krishna, but He is so powerful, and I cannot do anything for Him; but Gurudev allowed me to serve Lord Krishna through him." If we serve our Guru, our service will easily go to the Lord. Some do not understand it and become proud that they are a pujari, thinking it is the best service, but those who serve Gurudev understand that service to Gurudev is the best and most powerful. That is why when we do puja, we first do Guru puja, and we say, "Guru, Vaishnav, Bhagavan," we do not say, "Bhagavan, Vaishnav, Guru". First Guru, then Vaishnav, then Bhagavan.

Do not think, "Oh, from the day after tomorrow we will do..." No, from tomorrow we must sing, chant, and dance in the street and distribute books! It is my earnest request: if we all together, all our society, all our centres and temples preach like this, we can do it. If even two devotees lead a centre and go preaching, that is sufficient.

Actually, that is our life. I always tell all devotees that they should all together run the program every day—give a class, preach, engage in sravanam, kirtanam, atma-nivedanam, etc. Practising movement is necessary—our life is not only to do puja and give some prasadam.

I tell it to all temples, you can believe that.

A temple is a house. The householder devotees can cook and serve the Deity, and all the brahmacharis and sannyasis are not meant to only sit and do japa. Their place is in the street—chanting, dancing, and preaching! Let the householder people keep and protect the house, and the brahmacharis, the sannyasis and those who have some ability should go preaching. Everybody is surprised, "What is Maharaj saying?!" Yes, a temple is a house, and maintaining the house, cooking for the Deity, serving the Deity is a householder's job. Sannyasis and brahmacharis must go preaching in the street, chanting and dancing.

I am happy to hear all the devotees, and if I have done anything wrong, please forgive my offence. I am actually a fallen soul, I have no qualification, but Gurudev told me something, and I am only repeating his words to the devotees...

Jay Srila Guru Maharaj ki jay!
Jay Om Vishnupad Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj ki jay!

Chanting: Maha-Mantra and Bhajans
'A girl came to me yesterday and argued with me: Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math follows mostly Guru, and Iskcon follows mostly Krishna; we chant so many bhajans, and they mostly chant Hare Krishna maha-mantra. I told her..'
