Your preaching is going on smoothly and within the proper line only because of sankirtan.

You must give priority to sankirtan, that will be good for you. Advertise, perform, etc.—through sankirtan you can conquer everything. Take the medicine that the doctor (Gurudev) gave you, and all your material desires will be removed.

Sometimes we do not get taste through sankirtan but that is because we do not take the medicine, and if we cannot make ourselves happy, we will not be able to make others happy also. That is why we all must take the medicine that Gurudev has given us: sravanam, kirtanam, smaranam, vandanam, dasyam, sakhyam, atma-nivedanam (hearing, chanting, remembering, offering obeisances, serving as a servant, friend, and complete surrender). That is the process that we must follow. If the doctor tells you to take some medicine three times a day, but we take it only one time, our disease will not be removed and we will not become healthy.

How will our mind become clean? If we take Gurudev's medicine, then all material desires will be removed and the mind will become pure, clear. Only sravan and kirtan (hearing and chanting) is necessary.

Do you know why Caracas is so glorious? Because you only preach, only do sankirtan, that is why you become more and more glorious. Many places are not so glorious because there is a lack of practising. When somebody does not practise properly, they will not get taste—if you do not chant properly, you will not feel taste for chanting.

You all work outside and every Saturday in the evening you come and do some service—you give your energy for the service to Parama Karuna Nitai Gaurachandra—in this way you yourself get benefit and pleasure and give pleasure to others also.

We must remember that life is very short. Everybody knows that. Krishna gave this human body for service to Gaura Nitai, service to the Lord. If we do not use this body for service to the Lord, then next birth Krishna will give us another body, a dog's body or a cow's body for example. Krishna will tell us, "I gave you a human body, but you did not use it properly for the service, so after you leave this body you will get some other body."

We must be careful. Do not lose your time. Day after day we are losing our time, but we must use it properly—for the service to Guru, Gauranga, and Nityananda.
