After I took sannyas, my family told me, "Come for a few days to get your land. You can sell it and take the money." I thought that I could give that money to my Guru and Gurudev could use it for service, but Gurudev did not allow me to go to my house. You are going to your house, this is not my wish and this is not a spiritual matter; but your mind is taking you there, what can I do? Anyhow, you can see: stay at any of our temples and come back quickly, as soon as possible, take care of your service. It is not necessary for you to go back to your home and family.

মায়ারে করিয়া জয় ছাড়ান না যায় ।
সাধু-গুরু কৃপা বিনা না দেখি উপায় ॥

mayare kariya jaya chhadana na yaya
sadhu-guru krpa vina na dekhi upaya

"It is not possible to conquer maya by engaging in maya. I see no other way to get relief except for the mercy of sadhus."

Actually, maya always creates attachment. You have had this attachment to the family life for so many years, not only in this birth, but for many lives, and that attachment is so strong that when you now want to leave it, the attachment does not want to leave you. Do you understand? It is very difficult to break attachment, but you must try. Attachment is a kind of disease.

Going to the family, meeting with the family, talking to the family—this is illusory environment. When I came here I never gave my phone number or address to any of my family and for ten-fifteen years they did not know where I was. But even when you are here you still keep in touch with them, you call them, you talk to them, etc., so maya is always pulling you, always tries to take you away from your service. Maya is much stronger than you, do you understand it? If you always keep connection with maya, maya will take you away from your service—that is maya's duty.

Everybody has some karma, some circumstances, and they act according to their circumstances, but there is someone who always writes your diary and keeps record of what you do, and when the time comes you will get another birth based on that diary and your karma. Be careful. If you leave Krishna consciousness, if you do not practise Krishna consciousness properly, maya can attack you any time.

Srila Sridhar Maharaj said even more—he said that even if Brahma comes and calls you, you must say, "I have no time. Lord Brahma, please wait outside. I have some job to do for my Guru, you can wait there for a few minutes."

In this way you can continue your spiritual life... I am saying very strong words today.
