Inner Feelings His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
"Bhakta-sangete mana anandita anuksana (ভক্ত-সঙ্গেতে মন আনন্দিত অনুক্ষণ)": when we gather with devotees, we get some pleasure, we get some happiness.
আর কবে নিতাইচাঁদ করুণা করিবে ।
ara kabe nitaichand karuna karibe "When will Nitaichand give mercy to me? When will all my material desires become insignificant?" ('Prarthana' by Srila Narottam Das Thakur) When will Nityananda Prabhu give some mercy to me? When will my material desires be removed from my heart?
কবে নিত্যানন্দ মোরে করি' দয়া ।
kabe nityananda more kari' daya "When will Nityananda be compassionate to me and relieve me from the mundane illusion?" ("Kabe habe bolo se dina amar" by Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur) When will family attachment, material attachment be removed from me? When will family attachment, material attachment go?
বিষয়ে যে প্রীতি এবে আছয়ে আমার ।
visaye ye priti ebe achhaye amara "May I have the same affection and attraction to your feet that I now have for material things." (Gitavali, 4.5, Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur) "The kind of love you have for your wife, children, brothers, sisters must come to the lotus feet of the Lord." How can you feel that your devotion is increasing? If you are getting more and more service attachment, service mood, if you are getting happiness through your service and you do not feel so much interest for your outside material job, material activities (you do not feel good doing that), then you will understand that your devotional activities are increasing and your practice is going on in the proper way; then you can understand easily that your spiritual achievement is going in the proper way. Without a pure devotee you cannot acquire pure devotion. Everybody comes here, but everybody's desire is not the same—somebody comes for enjoyment, somebody comes for service, and somebody wants to take something from here... When devotees come, we get so much enthusiasm, but when devotees are leaving, so much sadness is coming. "Bhakta-viraha vina duhkha nahi dekhi para (ভক্ত-বিরহ বিনা দুঃখ নাহি দেখি পর, there is no other sadness except separation from a devotee)". Bhakta-viraha: when devotees are leaving, it is very sad for us—that is our unhappiness...
