Chant and Be Chaste

Jive daya, Name ruchi (be kind to the jiva souls, relish chanting the Holy Name)—you must feel taste for the Holy Name, such taste must come. If you chant the Holy Name without offence, then taste will come. If you chant the Holy Name all the time, then offences will go away—we always make aparadh (offences), but if you chant the Holy Name more and more, then offences will go away.

aparadha-sunya haye laha krsna-nama
achirat tumi pabe krsna-prema-dhana

'Chant the Holy Name of Krishna without offence and you will quickly get the treasure of divine love to Krishna.'

You must chant the Holy Name without offences—then you can the wealth of Krishna-prema. To deliver the souls—for the sake of the souls of this world—Krishna Himself appears as the Holy Name. In Kali-yuga, the souls do not want to chant the Holy Name, but for them Krishna Himself comes as the Holy Name,

কলিকালে নামরূপ কৃষ্ণ-অবতার ।
নাম হৈতে হয় সর্ব্বজগৎ-নিস্তার ॥

kali-kale nama-rupe krsna-avatara
nama haite haya sarva-jagat-nistara

"In the Kali-yuga, Krishna appears in the form of the Name. The entire world is delivered through that Name."

(Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila, 17.22)

The Name, qualities, form, pastimes, features and associates of the Lord are fully non-different from the Lord Himself, and only the Lord's close devotees can distribute this Holy Name.

You must chant the Holy Name. You have come to this bona fide line and you must keep chastity to your Guru. This is how you should do service.
