Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj
Speaking to the devotees in Colombia
16 July 2017, part 3

Jay Om Vishnupad Jagad Guru Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj ki jay!

In this age of Kali, to get your real home, to reach the place we all come from, the only religion is chanting the Holy Name. Krishna's Name, beauty, pastimes are non-different from Krishna, that is why Krishna Himself appears as the Holy Name—in this age of Kali, He comes as Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and as the Holy Name.

If you want to chant this Name, this Name must come from a Guru-parampara. This Holy Name came from Krishna to Brahma, from Brahma to Narad, from Narad to Vyasadev, from Vyasadev to Madhvacharya, and so on—in this way, the Name comes to Jagannath Das Babaji Maharaj, Bhaktivinod Thakur, Gaura Kishor Das Babaji Maharaj, Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur, our Param Gurudev Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj, and then our Gurudev Om Vishnupad Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj. During Gurudev's manifest pastimes in this world, when he was present in this world, he told me, "If somebody is a sincere seeker, you can initiate them and they can chant the Holy Name."

By the mercy of the Lord, we have got this human body. This body is compared to a boat and the Guru is the captain of this boat. If you get a human body and not take shelter of a bona fide Guru, then you are like a member of a suicide squad. We sing in the song 'Nitai-pada-kamala': "Se sambandha nahi yara vrtha janma gela tara sei pasu bada durachara—those who have no connection with the Guru, are comparable to a beast."

First take the beads and say,

শ্রীকৃষ্ণচৈতন্য প্রভু নিত্যানন্দ ।
শ্রীঅদ্বৈত গদাধর শ্রীবাসাদি গৌরভক্তবৃন্দ ॥

sri-krsna-chaitanya prabhu nityananda
sri-advaita gadadhara srivasadi gaura-bhakta-vrinda

This is the name of Pancha Tattva. First chant Their Names and ask Them for mercy, "I am a fallen soul. I have no quality or qualification, please give me Your mercy so that I can chant this Holy Name." Because They have brought this Holy Name to this abode, we cannot chant this Name without their mercy. After that, start chanting from the big beads (you can see there are small beads on one side and big beads on the other side—start chanting from the big beads). Listen to me,

হরে কৃষ্ণ হরে কৃষ্ণ কৃষ্ণ কৃষ্ণ হরে হরে ।
হরে রাম হরে রাম রাম রাম হরে হরে ॥

hare krsna hare krsna krsna krsna hare hare
hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare

In this way, chant from the big beads to the small beads, then take turn and chant from the small beads to the big beads. Chant in this way sixteen rounds or more, but if you are busy with service any day, then not less than four rounds must be chanted. Also, you have the ten offences book, you must read it all and avoid these ten offences. Chant avoiding these offences and Krishna will reveal Himself in your heart—you will be successful in your spiritual life and you will get the result quickly.

Jay Om Vishnupad Jagad Guru Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj ki jay!

All the Colombian devotees ki jay!
Harinam sankritan ki jay!
Nitai Gaura premanande Hari Hari bol!

Lord Nrisimhadev and
'Krishna in my heart'
Succint answers to two frequent questions: can we worship Lord Nrisimhadev, and can we think that Krishna is in my heart and be satisfied with that?

'I offer my obeisance unto the lotus feet of Sri Guru, who daily engages himself and other devotees in dressing the Deity with various ornaments, cleaning the Deity's temple, and performing other devotional practices.'

A holy place is not for enjoyment; a holy place is for service.
