You see that all over the world almost everybody runs behind money, runs behind property, gold, wealth. This is happening all over the world, even here in India—it is a religious place because every time Krishna came to this world, He appeared in this country, but how many fortunate people are there who come to pure Krishna consciousness? The whole world is covered by the illusory environment, Kali Maharaj.

We live in this world—we eat, sleep, enjoy every day—but how many jiva souls do we kill, we destroy through that? Even when we breathe we kill jiva souls; when we drink water we also kill so many souls—so many bacteria die because of us. What is the way out of this situation? How can we get relief from this kinds of sinful life? Our Gurudev, Guru Maharaj, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu told the solution. The Lord says, "You must surrender your to Me." If you change your consciousness to Krishna consciousness, then you will be relieved of all sins, you will have no problem. Take prasadam. Whatever you do, it must go to Lord Krishna, Gurudev, then you will get relief from all sinful activities.

Suppose you go to a doctor and the doctor tells you that you have diabetes and you cannot eat any sweets, potato, etc. You will say, "I cannot give up sweets! Give me some medication instead." If the doctor is good, he will tell you, "Go away. I do not want a patient like you." If the doctor is not good, he will say, "OK, you can eat anything you like, take this medicine, and come to me again next month," because he is thinking, "If he comes again, I will get some money." You must go to a good doctor—to the doctor who loves you.

If I tell here in India to people that they can eat meat, fish, etc. they can do whatever they want, I will have millions of millions of disciples, but they will get no result. A pure Guru or a pure devotee will not give that kind of advice. There are so many gurus in this world—karmi-gurus (guru who teach how to prosper materially), jnani-gurus (gurus who give you knowledge), laukik-gurus (ancestral guru), kaulik-gurus (pseudo-gurus), etc.—they give such advice to people, but if somebody is an original guru, they will tell you to follow rules and regulations. Just as a good doctor will tell you what is necessary to do and what is not necessary to do, a real Guru will tell you what is favourable to devotion and what is not favourable to devotion.

You must follow Krishna consciousness properly, then you will be able to reach your real goal, reach your destination.
