A Perfect Serviceholder His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
We came for the parikrama of Sri Dham Puri a few days ago and have done the parikrama of many places—Srila Haridas Thakur's samadhi, Siddha Bakul (Haridas Thakur's bhajan kutir), Gambhira (Kashi Misra's house where Mahaprabhu stayed), Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya's temple, Jagannath Temple, Gundicha Bari, Ramananda Ray's house and Vallabha Udyan (garden), Saksi Gopal, Ananta Vasudev, Sivji Maharaj Temple in Bhuvaneshwar, and Alarnath. With more than five hundred devotees, we are making a tour programme to many places this year. By the mercy of Gurudev, Sri Jaya Ram came from America and gave some news about the Soquel Ashram. I am very happy that everybody is doing service happily under the guidance of Srila Janardan Maharaj. I am very happy that he is following Gurudev's order and instruction, and he has these qualities also—he is humble, tolerant and gives honour to others. This was Gurudev's preaching all over the world. Gurudev explained that tridandi [a triple staff, or a three-fold vow] sannyas actually means being humble, tolerant and giving honour to others (giving respect to everybody). We all can learn from the pastimes at Mahaprabhu's place in Gambhira that for the service of Mahaprabhu, for the service of the Guru you can make an offence, it is not a problem, but you cannot make any offence for your own interest. You can do anything for the service to your Guru. We can also see the example from Vrindavan—the gopis gave their foot dust to help Lord Sri Krishna and they did not think about themselves, they did not think that they could go to hell, their legs could be burnt or be taken by leprosy. At this moment, each of us must think deeply what is necessary for service. It is necessary to serve from the heart—it is not necessary to show service to others. Service will be heart and soul, then that is service. You must do service with 100%. That is the main things. You must surrender 100% to your Guru. Your mind must be chaste and sincere otherwise you cannot proceed in your spiritual life. Try and try. Even if you think you cannot do anything more, but still you must try to do more. You must also respect your Guru properly—you must respect Gurudev's order and follow it. You must think what you are doing. Think in your room for one hour what you are doing and what you are thinking. I am telling this to all the devotees—service Gurudev's Mission with heart and soul. If you want to proceed in your spiritual life, you must have some aim in life. Just as you cannot run a boat without a captain, a man cannot run without an aim in life. If you want to be a big businessman, you need a good business, and if you want to be a big good serviceholder, then you must do your service properly. If you want to be a proper sannyasi, then you must practise spiritual life properly. You have come to Krishna consciousness line and you must practise properly and perfectly. Practice makes perfect. Jay Srila Guru Maharaj ki jay!
