(1) Sealed Hearts

...If one is an offender, the genuine Holy Name will not come to their mouth. You cannot worship your Deity by paying somebody ten rupees to do it. People come to do such worship only because of money – they know, 'If I go there and offer some worship, I will get ten rupees.' Worshipping the Lord with devotion, with all your heart, that is another matter. Everybody must create a temple in their hearts. You must make a temple in your hearts – you must give the Lord place in your hearts. Do you understand? You must always remember this. Until and unless we make temples in our hearts, give the Lord place in our hearts and serve Him in the temples of our hearts, we will never free ourselves from this material world and existence.

So, the Holy Name does not come to everybody's mouths. Our job here is not to only come and chant some kirtan. I have not come here to chant kirtans – I have come to make you chant kirtan. I have come here after a long time. I told some devotees that I would come, but I have not been able to come. Anyway, those who have no fortune will not hear all these things. It is not possible to hear all these things, to understand these things or to serve and revere these things if one has only a little fortune. These are not some common matters. Maya is so powerful and displays so many games that she keeps us away from the service of the Lord and turns us into her own servants and maidservants. We always live worshipping Maya – we live in Maya consciousness, always working for her... We have fallen into this material bondage, so we live always shackled by illusion. We never think about our own selves.

We must be selfish. How so? We always think about our bodies, 'How will I eat?', 'What will I wear?', 'How will I sleep?', 'How will I live?' How long will you carry this on? When we were small, we have very nice, beautiful bodies; when we grew up and were young, we were so beautiful, but as we start growing old after that, our hair and teeth start falling out, we grow deaf and blind, we become afflicted with so many diseases. This body slowly disintegrates. This is how we pass our lives in this world, amidst happiness and sadness. For example, it was very cold the other day, and now it is very hot and we have to use fans. Winter is changed by spring, spring is changed by summer, summer is changed by autumn, and so on. In the same way, we always feel happiness, then this happiness is changed by sadness, then sadness is again changed by happiness – we live and experience whatever we are meant to experience.

I have been following this path for a long time now, I have been in this world for a long time, but so few of you have come to this line... You can see people coming here from so far – you can see devotees from many different countries sitting here with me today. They come from America, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Colombia, Bihar, Jharkhand and other places. They all have come to your house... You think, 'Maharaj comes only to take rice and money.' You have been thinking like this all your lives, and nobody has come to realise that I actually come to help you all. If you had accepted my help, you would not have been in this situation now – you would not have been unhappy, you would not have been living a material, conditioned life; you would not have had to be born and die again and again.

You have got these human bodies now, Somebody lives in happiness and comfort, somebody lives in sadness, somebody experiences loss of the beloved, so they suffer. You alive amidst all these happy and sad days, but you can never even think about where you will go after this life and in what situation you will live...
