Forget Yourself In Kirtan

Many devotees are coming tomorrow. Please get ready tomorrow for Sri Nabadwip Dham parikrama. It is some austerity, but I will give you a very good medicine how to do this parikrama. If you take this medicine, you will see that everyone can do it. The medicine is this: without any hesitation, without any second thoughts, reservations and doubts at the back of your mind, leaving all thoughts about your life and family that you have left behind at home, only chant the Holy Name. Only chant Hare Krishna and you will see the Lord Himself will take you on this parikrama. This is the real medicine.

If you go for a walk in the morning, you will feel your legs are paining, but if you go chanting kirtan, then you will see that even if you walk twenty-four hours, nothing will happen to you. Srila Raghunath Das Goswami walked to Puri during twelve days—Puri is about 600km away from Kolkata, it means he walked fifty kilometres a day, and during those twelve days he ate only three times. Somebody called me the other day saying, "You are starting parikrama on 17 March, it is an ekadasi day, how will you walk without eating?" I explained to them that we were going to do a short parikrama on that day—we are going to Godrumdwip, it is nearby, we will walk in the morning and take anukalpa prasadam in the afternoon here at the temple.

Do not worry about prasadam—walk and chant, and prasad will come, there is no need to worry about it. Chant the Holy Name of the Lord and you will see that you will get the supreme benefit. Chanting the Holy Name of the Lord also means we must serve the devotees of the Lord. There is no other path for us except service to the devotees. Service to devotees is our highest end, we must always remember this. That is why we always want devotees' association, sadhus' association.

Look at the devotees from Singapore—they have come with their two small children, Jay Krishna and Jay Gauranga, the youngest being only four months old. Yet here in India devotees have two-four-year old children and they cannot come, they are waiting for the child to grow up—they say, "When the child grows up, I will be able to come." But look at them—they have brought a four-month-old child from Singapore!

Srila Ashram Maharaj has come! He has been preaching all year abroad and now has come for the parikrama. Sripad Tyagi Maharaj has also been preaching all over the world (Russia, London, America, Mexica, Colombia, Turkey, etc.) and he is returning here for the parikrama. Sripad Mahayogi Maharaj also helps me with the parikrama—he is physically not well and cannot help in service physically, but he sometimes preaches and helps me in other ways. Sripad Parivrajak Maharaj is also here. Sripad Sadhu Maharaj has also come from Venezuela.
