Think Deep and Tell Everyone His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
It is very nice to see you all. Is everything OK there? Who is living at the temple now? Only Damodar Prabhu and Mathuranath Prabhu? Devotee: Mathuranath Prabhu is not living in the temple, but he is here now. He comes every week to help. Also, Samantha comes very often to help Damodar Prabhu. Also, they are handing out the flyers that we showed you when we were with you to the houses in the neighbourhood, and many newcomers are coming to the programme here at the temple. Good. They are fortunate. How much fortune these souls have!
ব্রহ্মাণ্ড ভ্রমিতে কোন ভাগ্যবান্ জীব ।
brahmanda bhramite kona bhagyavan jiva "Having travelled throughout the universe and got the mercy of Guru, Krishna, a fortunate soul receives a seed of the devotional creeper." (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Madhya-lila, 19.151) If anyone joins the programme, listens to kirtan, listens about Gurudev and hears some Krishna-katha about Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's pastimes, Nityananda Prabhu's pastimes, all the Vaishnavs' pastimes from devotees, their heart will be clean and offences will be removed—after that, if they chant the Holy Name without offence, with a clean heart, they will get a real great benefit. We must understand who is Mahaprabhu and who is Nityananda Prabhu. Nityananda Prabhu always shows us, "My Prabhu (My Master) is Gaurachandra." Actually, Nityananda Prabhu and Gauranga Prabhu are the same—They are asraya-vigraha and vijaya-vigraha, but Nityananda Prabhu shows, sets the example for us that Gauranga Mahaprabhu is the master of Nityananda Prabhu. He always says, "My Prabhu is Gaurachandra." Then, those who are new should understand what they have got this human body for, how they should use their human body—eyes, ears, legs, etc. Everything is meant for the service to the Lord, but unfortunately we are wasting so much of our time on our body—we always think about our body, about our health, we worry where we will sleep, where we can get food, money. We always think about our own purpose, but these simple matters. You know, street dogs have no idea where they will get food, they have no deposit—going there, there, there, they spend every day searching where they will get food, and in the evening they take rest. They spend their lives always trying to get something for their own stomaches, but Krishna brings them food from one place or another. We are also like that—we only worry about our body, but it is not this life's purpose. We have got a human body, and our mind always goes external way, but there is an atma (soul) inside every body, and the atma has connection with Paramatma, the Lord—the atma knows what is necessary for Paramatma, and Paramatma knows what is necessary for the atma. The atma's food is not rice, dal, subji, chapati. Rice, dal, chapati, subji is the food for the body, for our indriya, all the parts of the body, but the atma's food is Krishna Nam, Krishna-seva (the Holy Name of Krishna, service to Krishna). Atma wants to serve Paramatma. This is what we must tell everybody. It is necessary to think about this deeply. This is high thinking. Simple living, high thinking.
