Devotees can grant us the gift of beholding Krishna. This is not just something you dream up or imagine. Krishna is real. He is a conscious being, and He is an invaluable ocean, or an invaluable treasure. Who attained this priceless ocean, who became enriched with the wealth of Krishna, the treasure of whose very heart is Krishna, he is known as Vaishnav Thakur, a sadhu, and he can give Krishna to others: Krishna is subservient to him.

Sri Krishnachandra's one special quality is that He gives Himself to His devotees. If you want to have Krishna in you life, then you have to receive the blessing and mercy of His devotee. Search out a devotee! Clasp unto him! Enquire from him! Try your best to have a devotee in your life. 'Where am I to go to find a genuine devotee?' I told you earlier that you must become a sadhu, not just dress as one. There are many people dressed as sadhus or devotees roaming this world, but one does not become a sadhu just by dressing as one – one does not become a devotee just by dressing as one.

If you can find a genuine devotee, a genuine saintly person and take shelter at his holy feet, if you can attain mercy and association of such a supremely advanced person (maha-bhagavata), then you too will come to the Lord because 'Lord Govinda always rests in the heart of His devotee.' Sri Krishna lives in the heart of His devotee, along with all His pastimes, magnanimity, beauty, sweetness. You can see the Lord within the heart of His devotee. If you get a devotee's association, if you establish a relationship in their association, then you will have a relationship with the Lord.

It is said in Sri Bhakti-sandarbha, 'My guru, scriptures, faith, taste, submissive adherence and all perfections exist in a full-fledged way at Their holy lotus feet. Their holy lotus eyes bathe the soul with mercy. May these Sri Sri Radha-Krishna always be the sole shelter of this shelterless soul.'

He is absolutely wonderful. His darshan is not some vague scriptural idea – it is a matter of tangible attainment, actual perception. The guru, scriptures, faith, taste, submissive adherence and perfections come gradually. When it comes to the perfection of attaining Lord Sri Krishna's appearance, the first and foremost necessity is Sri Gurudev. It is not about attaining some knowledge. Before the Lord appears, one must establish a tangible relationship with the guru. If you study scriptures crossing over the guru, you will not understand their genuine meaning; if you want to come to God bypassing the guru, it is the same as 'jump over the goda to eat grass' (ghoda dingiye ghas khawa’, ঘোড়া ডিঙিয়ে ঘাস খাওয়া – 'bypassing the proper channel').
