I am very happy to see all the Ecuador devotees. They are very nice, and I can see very good communication and a very big gathering there. I am very happy to see that. Also, everybody's mood is very nice—everybody has service mood, I am very happy to see that.

One thing I want to say is that one cannot become a disciple only by taking initiation, only by taking a mantra from Gurudev. It is necessary to have a real connection of disciple and Gurudev. If you only take initiation, give your Guru some flower, give your Guru some offering or a garland, this is outside, external things—you must understand purely what Gurudev needs, what is his connection, what Gurudev wants, what his heart wants and you must always fulfil his desire. That is what the relationship between the Guru and a disciple is.

You give an obeisance to the Guru, and Gurudev takes your obeisance, or you give a donation to the Guru and he takes it for himself—this kind of Guru is available all over the world, but it is rare to find such Guru in this world who will take your pranam (obeisance) and pranami (donation) and use it for the service of his Guru.

Devotee: [Introducing another devotee] He is from another mission, but he comes to our temple.

That is not a problem. I do not think who comes from which mission, who is whose disciple, etc. If anyone wants to serve Mahaprabhu, if anyone wants to serve devotees, that is sufficient, do not discriminate.

Question: Do you have any specific instruction for the devotees in Ecuador?

Yes. Gurudev will be happy, Nityananda Prabhu will be happy through sravan and kirtan. All devotees must all the time engage in sravanam, kirtanam. This is the main service. Always engage in sravanam, kirtanam and service to Vaishnavs. Sometimes go to the street for Harinam sankirtan, distribute books, distribute pamphlets, brochures. Preach in every capacity.

যে দিন গৃহে ভজন দেখি ।
গৃহেতে গোলোক ভায় ॥

ye dina grhe bhajana dekhi
grhete goloka bhaya

On the days when I see devotional service taking place in my home, I feel that Goloka has manifested there.

You know that Christians go to the church one day once a week and they pray to the Lord, "Please remove all my sins, please remove all kinds of bad things." They go to their service once a week, but devotees (bhaktas) of Krishna, devotees (bhaktas) of Mahaprabhu engage themselves in the service to their Guru, in the service to Nityananda Prabhu and Mahaprabhu all the time.

If you have capacity, sometimes join our Vrindavan parikrama, Puri Dham parikrama, Nabadwip Dham parikrama. Join us—you can get some good association. If anyone has capacity, come to India, come and join us in the parikramas of Nabadwip Mandal, Vraja Mandal (Vrindavan), Ksetra Mandal (Puri). You are always welcome. I always think of you—you are all in my heart. You are all members of my family—you are my Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Family.

Gurudev has already bought you the ticket to Vrindavan and you are already on the ship where Gurudev is the captain. Do not jump off the ship! You must stay on the ship. Whatever austerity comes, whatever problem comes, whatever happens, you must stay on the ship. If you jump off or get off the ship, you will lose Vrindavan—you will not be able to reach your destination.

So, I am also very happy to see your smiling faces, I can see your service faces and gives me joy, happiness and so much enthusiasm to engage in service.
