মূকং করোতি বাচালং পঙ্গুং লঙ্ঘয়তে গিরিম্ ।
যৎকৃপা তমহং বন্দে শ্রীগুরুং দীনতারণম্ ॥

mukam karoti vachalam pangum langhayate girim
yat krpa tam aham vande sri-gurum dina-taranam

"The dumb can speak, the lame can climb a hill—all it takes is mercy from Gurudev."

First, I am offering my full obeisance at the lotus feet of my Divine Master Om Vishnupad Jagad-guru Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, begging him for his causeless mercy and aspiring to serve him; after that, I am offering my full obeisance to all the assembled guru-varga, all my godbrothers, to all the listeners, to all the motherly lady devotees and all the devotees. I am offering my obeisance at your holy feet and praying for your mercy to this lowly soul.

It is a very good day today. A cloudy day is not a bad day—a bad day is a day without Hari-katha. A bad is the day when we cannot hear and speak about the Lord, when we do not know the Lord and do not show any desire to know the Lord, when we do not serve the Lord. This fortune to hear Hari-katha does not always come to everybody. You can hear many kinds of kirtans—lila-kirtan, pala-kirtan, asta-prahar kirtan, 24-hour kirtan—but this is all Nama-aparadh. But we do not have the fortune to hear about the Lord from the mouths of pure Vaishnavs, to hear about the Lord and Sri Guru from genuine Vaishnavs, associates of the Lord. So, today this fortunate day has come to us. We have got an opportunity to hear and speak Hari-katha in various villages and regions recently, and this opportunity has come today also.

বৈষ্ণব সঙ্গেতে মন আনন্দিত অনুক্ষণ
সদা হয় কৃষ্ণ পরসঙ্গ ।

vaisnava sangete mana anandita anuksana
sada haya krsna para-sanga

"In the association of Vaishnavs, my mind is always joyful—in their association I always get the association of Krishna."

When Vaishnavs and devotees gather at some home together, they speak about Krishna, and you can get the association of the Lord among them. This is how we get an opportunity to hear and speak Hari-katha.

The problem is that this opportunity does not come all the time; we are always busy discussing others, gossiping, criticising others. We say many things, and we chant the glories of Lord Krishna so much, but there is no use. We cannot see any result. We glorify Lord Krishna so much, but do we get any result? There some reason behind that, and that reason is offences.

aparadha-sunya haye laha krsna-nama
achirat tumi pabe krsna-prema-dhana

"Chant the Holy Name of Krishna without offence and you will quickly get the treasure of divine love to Krishna."

It is necessary to chant the Holy Name without offences. Suppose I keep some water in a glass—I keep pouring more and more, but all water comes out because there are holes in this glass. So, no matter how much we chant the Holy Name, chant kirtan, do our mala, we still cannot move forward in our spiritual life or cannot attain any perfection in our spiritual life (bhajana-siddhi). Why? Because there are holes in our glass, and whatever we do falls out throw these holes. No matter how much you may be practising, if you are committing offences (Nama-aparadhas, seva-aparadhas, dhama-aparadhas, Vaishnav-aparadas) at the same time, then we will not get any result. Always remember this.
