(6/7) Love and Appreciate Mahaprabhu's Gift

I want to say some more things. Srila Rupa Goswamipad wrote this sloka:

নমো মহাবদান্যায় কৃষ্ণপ্রেম-প্রদায় তে । কৃষ্ণায় কৃষ্ণচৈতন্যনাম্নে গৌরত্বিষে নমঃ ॥

namo maha-vadanyaya krsna-prema-pradaya te
krsnaya krsna-chaitanya-namne gaura-tvise namah

'Again and again I offer my obeisance unto You, Sri Krishna Chaitanya, the supremely merciful, golden form of Sri Krishna, the giver of Krishna-prema.'

চৌদ্দভুবনের গুরু চৈতন্য গোসাঞি ।
তাঁ’র গুরু অন্য, এই কোন শাস্ত্রে নাই ॥

chaudda-bhuvanera guru chaitanya gosani
tan’ra guru anya, ei kona sastre nai

'The guru of the entire forteen worlds is Chaitanya Gosai, there is no other guru mentioned in the scriptures.'

সেই রাধাভাব লঞা চৈতন্যাবতার ।
যুগধর্ম্ম নাম-প্রেম কৈল পরচার ॥

sei radhara bhava lana chaitanya-avatara
yuga-dharma nama-prema kaila parachara

'Fulfilling His desire, Krishna assumed Sri Radha's mood and comes as Gauranga Mahaprabhu to preach His own Holy Name. This incarnation of Chaitanya preached about the religion of this age, which is transcendental love for the Lord and the Holy Name of the Lord.'

In Satya-yuga, people practised meditation. In Treta-yuga, people made fire sacrifices. In Dvapar-yuga, people practised archan and puja (Deity worship). And in Kali-yuga, the religion is Nama-sankirtan.

What is the main necessity of Gaura-avatar? There is an external cause and an internal cause.

অনর্পিতচরীং চিরাৎ করুণয়াবতীর্ণঃ কলৌ
সমর্পয়িতুমুন্নতে'জ্জ্বলরসাং স্বভক্তিশ্রিয়ম্ ।
হরিঃ পূরটসুন্দরদ্যুতিকদম্বসন্দীপিতঃ
সদা হৃদয়কন্দরে স্ফুরতু বঃ শচিনন্দনঃ ॥

anarpita-charim chirat karunayavatirnah kalau
samarpayitum unnatojjvala-rasam sva-bhaktisriyam
harih purata-sundara-dyuti-kadamba-sandipitah
sada hrdaya-kandare sphuratu vah sachi-nandanah

'May the Supreme Lord, who is known as the son of Sri Sachi Devi, be transcendentally situated in the innermost core of your heart. Resplendent with the radiance of molten gold, He has descended in the age of Kali by His causeless mercy to bestow what no incarnation has ever offered before: the most elevated mellow of devotional service, the mellow of conjugal love.'

Mahaprabhu gives His own devotion, His own wealth and property. He is ready to distribute this kind of mercy, that is why He appeared in this Age of Kali. He comes to distribute the real sweet mood, divinity, and all transcendental wealth. This is the external cause. There is another, internal cause also. What is the root cause of His appearance?

শ্রীরাধায়াঃ প্রণয়মহিমা কীদৃশো বানয়ৈবা-
স্বাদ্যো যেনাদ্ভুতমধুরিমা কীদৃশো বা মদীয়ঃ ।
সৌখ্যঞ্চাস্যা মদনুভবতঃ কীদৃশং বেতি লোভা-
ত্তদ্ভাবাঢ্যঃ সমজনি শচীগর্ভসিন্ধৌ হরীন্দুঃ ॥

sri-radhayah pranaya-mahima kidrso vanayaivasvadyo
yenadbhuta-madhurima kidrso va madiyah
saukhyam chasya mad-anubhavatah kidrsam veti lobhat
tad-bhavadhyah samajani sachigarbha-sindhau harinduh

'"What is that great glory of Sri Radha's love? What is My extraordinary loving sweetness and charm that Sri Radha enjoys? And what is the joy Sri Radha feels by experiencing My sweetness and charm?" Yearning to taste these three sentiments, the moon—Krishna-chandra—was born from the ocean of the womb of mother Sachi.'

Krishna thinks, 'Radharani loves Me so much and worships (aradhana) Me so much that She is known as "Radha". What is Her glory? What kind of taste is She getting? I want to taste this mood, too! So, I will appear in this world taking Her mood. I cannot get the taste that Radharani is feeling, but I want to taste it, so I will take Her mood, become Gaurahari and taste it!'

There are also two more aspects of Mahaprabhu's incarnation, His Name and His worshippable Deity.

আর দুই জন্ম এই সঙ্কীর্তনারম্ভে ।
হইব তোমার পুত্র আমি অবিলম্বে ॥
মোর অর্চা-মূর্তি মাতা, তুমি সে ধরণী ।
জিহ্বারূপা তুমি মাতা, নামের জননী ॥
এই দুই জন্ম মোর সঙ্কীর্তনারম্ভে ।
দুই ঠাঞি তোর পুত্র রহুঁ অবিলম্বে ॥

ara dui janma ei sankirtanarambhe
haiba tomara putra ami avilambe
mora archa-murti mata, tumi se dharani
jihva-rupa tumi mata, namera janani
ei dui janma mora sankirtanarambhe
dui thani tora putra rahun avilambe

'Coming to inaugurate sankirtan, I will very soon become your son, born in two forms. Mother, you are the earth from which my worshippable Deity is produced. Mother, you are the mother of the Name that appears on the tongue. These two of My births appear at the outset of sankirtan. Your son will very soon take up these two places.'

What is Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's mood?

আরাধ্যো ভগবান্ ব্রজেশতনয়স্তদ্ধাম বৃন্দাবনং
রম্যা কাচিদুপাসনা ব্রজবধূবর্গেণ যা কল্পিতা ।
শ্রীমদ্ভাগবতং প্রমাণমমলং প্রেমা পুমর্থো মহান্
শ্রীচৈতন্যমহাপ্রভোর্মতমিদং তত্রাদরো নঃ পরঃ ॥

aradhyo bhagavan brajesa tanayas tad dhama vrndavanam
ramya kachid upasana braja-vadhu-vargena ya kalpita
srimad-bhagavatam pramanam-amalam prema pumartho mahan
sri chaitanya mahaprabhur-matam-idam tatradaro nah parah

"The Supreme Personality of Godhead, the son of Nanda Maharaja, is to be worshiped along with His transcendental abode, Vrindavan. The most pleasing form of worship for the Lord is that which was performed by the gopis of Vrndavan. Srimad Bhagavatam is the spotless authority, and pure love of God is the ultimate goal of life. These statements, for which we have the highest regard, are the opinion of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu."

Bhagavan Sri Vrajendranandan Sri Krishna and His extension, Sri Vrindavan Dham, are worshippable for us. Vraja gopis' (Vraja vadhus') worship of Krishna is the highest possible worship, and Srimad Bhavagatam is the proof of that. We must give love and honour to this siddhanta, perfect conclusion, or proof. That is the main thing. We must give honour what Chaitanya Mahaprabhu gives to us.

Jay Sriman Mahaprabhu ki jay.
Jay Sri Jagannathdev ki jay.
Baladev, Subhadra, Jagannath jiu ki jay.
All the assembled devotees ki jay.

Once again, I am asking your forgiveness for my offences because I am not a good speaker, and my English is not good, too. I can only realise what Mahaprabhu has given us, but I cannot express properly what Mahaprabhu gave in this world. What He gave has never been given before. We can only give respect to that which my guru-varga – A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj, Srila Prabhupad (Bhagavan Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur), my Param Gurudev Om Vishnupad Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj, my Gurudev Om Vishnupad Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj – distributed all over the world. If I can get only one drop of what they distributed all over the world, I will be very happy. This is all we want.
