...Vyasadev remembered his son Sukadev Goswami, who was at that time in the womb of his mother (Vyasadev's wife). At that time, Parasaramuni (Vyasadev's father, who was a great scholar, expert in all the scriptures) and many other rishis from various sampradayas came to Vyasadev and asked him to speak to Sukadev. They said, "Please talk to him. He has been sitting in his mother's womb for twelve years already!" Sukadev Goswami could speak from his mother's womb. Can you imagine this?

Many people say that Krishna is a human, they ask, "What is the proof that Krishna and Mahaprabhu are the Supreme Personality of Godhead?" When you have a child, is the child born wearing clothes? Yet Krishna appeared fully dressed, with tilaks, kanthi-mala, peacock feather, bracelets, etc. Mahaprabhu also appeared in this way. Other children are never born like this. This is the proof.

So, when all the rishis came to Vyasadev and asked him to call Sukadev, Vyasadev spoke to Sukadev, "Come out, come out!" Sukadev replied, "I will not come out of my mother's womb. If I come outside, I will be attacked by Maya and I will forget everything." And this is what happens—once the soul emerges from the womb, it forgets everything,

কৃষ্ণ ভুলি' সেই জীব অনাদি-বহির্ম্মুখ ।
অতএব মায়া তারে দেয় সংসারাদি-দুঃখ ॥

krsna bhuli' sei jiva anadi-bahirmukha
ataeva maya tare deya samsaradi-duhkha

Having forgotten Krishna, the soul wanders throughout the universe. Being thus covered by illusion, the soul goes through all kinds of material suffering.

Then, all the rishis offered Vyasadev, "Listen, you have the power to stop Maya. Maya is created by the Lord, but you can stop her action for five minutes." Vyasadev asked Sukadev, "If I stop Maya's action for five minutes, will you be able to come out then?" Sukadev agreed. Then, Vyasadev stopped Maya's action in this world for five minutes and during this time Sukadev came out of his mother's womb.

What did he do after he appeared? He started to run! Think about it—our children cannot even walk until two years old, but Sukadev ran out of his mother's womb (he was a twelve-year-old boy at that time). On the other hand, when a cow delivers a calf, the calf can stand just after two hours. The Lord can create anything. So, if a calf can learn to stand and walk just after two hours of being born, then why cannot the Lord make so that Sukadev could run?
