We come to your house, to your village to encourage you to practise. It is not enough to only take initiation and chant four rounds on your beads in your room once a day. It will not do. When you take initiation, you must take prasadam, "Prasada-seva karite haya sakala prapancha-jaya (প্রসাদ-সেবা করিতে হয় সকল প্রপঞ্চ জয়): by honouring the Lord's prasad I shall conquer all worldly illusions." It is not enough only to offer worship to the Deity—you give garland, you give everything, but when the Deity is hungry you do not give any food. You must feed your Deity every day. Just as we eat every day, we must give food to the Lord every day. This is called perpetual, daily service (nitya-seva).

You must wake up early in the morning and do the arati. Do not watch TV, series, etc. You must stop doing it. Do arati, offer bhog, do archan, chant kirtans, take prasad, do noon arati, then give the Deity time for rest in the afternoon, then offer some fruit, sweets in late afternoon. Offer what you have—some have banana trees, some grow cucumbers, etc. Give whatever bhog you have to the Lord, then do arati again in the evening, offer whatever bhog you make, then put the Lord to rest and take that prasad. These are our rules. You must always follow them. "Prasada-seva karite haya sakala prapancha-jaya (প্রসাদ-সেবা করিতে হয় সকল প্রপঞ্চ জয়): by honouring the Lord's prasad I conquer all worldly illusions."

I am living in Kolkata now [Sevak Bhavan], not directly in the temple, and I have told them there that first they must offer bhog to Gurudev, then we will take that prasad. There is Gurudev's photograph, Gurudev's things in his room, Gurudev is there, we can feel it, so bhog must be offered to him every day. Devotees go to the temple to take prasadam, but I do not go there without necessity. There, they also do the worship, offer bhog, give prasadam. It is actually a fortune to get Gurudev's prasadam. This is how we continue our life every day.
