Practice makes perfect. Always do sravan, kirtan, and do not sleep in the daytime. Some devotees stay up until 12 o'clock, until 2-3 o'clock at night, gossiping, working, and after that they sleep until 9 o'clock. This is not good for the devotional life. You must wake up from the bed before sunrise. All our Guru-varga—Bhakti Vinod Thakur, Gaura Kishor Das Babaji Maharaj, Srila Prabhupad, our Gurudev, Param Gurudev—everybody goes to sleep early in the evening and wake up at 3-4 o'clock, at 2:30 a.m. You must follow their example.

One time, in Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur's time, Gaura Kishor Das Babaji Maharaj came from Champahatti... Do you remember this name "Champahatti"? When we do the Nabadwip Dham parikrama, on the last day we first go to Champahatti, Gaura Gadadhar Ashram. This Gaura Gadadhar are very ancient Deities, they have been worshipped there from Mahaprabhu's time. So, one day, Gaura Kishor Das Babaji Maharaj went from that Gaura Gadadhar temple to Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur. Babaji Maharaj was blind, and it was a dark moon moon. It is inconceivable how he came there—alone, he walked to the Ganges, crossed the river and came to Godrumdwip, Bhakti Vinod Thakur's bhajan kutir in Svananda Sukhada Kunja.

At that time, there was not wall around the house, but there was a bamboo gate. It was evening, and the gate was closed. Babaji Maharaj started shouting, calling Bhakti Vinod Thakur, who at that time had already gone to take rest and was sleeping. When Bhakti Vinod Thakur heard Babaji Maharaj's voice, he came out. Babaji Maharaj was surprised,

"It is evening and you are sleeping?!" but then he said, "I like it, I am very happy—you sleep at this time and at midnight you chant."

"How did you come here, Babaji Maharaj? You cannot see..." asking Bhakti Vinod Thakur.

"Somebody took my hand and brought me here..."

"Who? Who is it?"

"I do not know, I thought some little girl came, she held my hand and took me here."

Bhakti Vinod Thakur was surprised because nobody was there... How can a blind man walk so far, about ten kilometres?

This is our Guru-varga, and this is what happened...
