Alwarnath Prabhu

His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj
speaking online to Colombia
18 May 2015

I always remember Alwarnath Prabhu and how much service he did for the devotees. He may have left his body here, but Gurudev always keeps a room for him in his place.

He made a dome here, he did so much service here, and I think his service was necessary in Goloka Vrindavan, that is why Gurudev called him, and he went there. I am thinking he knows how to make a house, he knows how to make a temple dome, and I am sure Gurudev needed him for his service there—maybe it is necessary to make a dome there, and Gurudev called him, so he left his body and went there.

Remembering his service, remember Chhota Haridas. When Chhota Haridas committed suicide, left his body, Mahaprabhu wanted to hear him sing, and Chhota Haridas sang a song. Everybody was surprised and wondered what was happening, but Mahaprabhu said, "You must believe Me: My devotee does not leave Me, My devotee always stays with Me." "Na me bhaktah pranasyati." [Bg, 9.31] Krishna Himself said, "My devotee is never vanquished. My devotee always stays with Me, and My devotee is never ruined."

The Gift of Guru
'If Gurudev had not come, who would have been able to tell us about the glories of Gauranga?'

Nitai gunamani amara
'Nitai cut a canal into the sealed ocean of mercy and a flood of nectarean divine love spread to every home.'
নিতাই গুণমণি আমার

A sadhu's character is tolerance; a sadhu's character is to excuse, to forgive the person.
If a sadhu cannot forgive an offence, he is not a sadhu, not a Vaishnav.

"HUMILITY, TOLERANCE, GIVING HONOUR TO OTHERS | HUMILITY, TOLERANCE, GIVING HONOUR TO OTHERS"
