We have come to this world for preaching, we have come for Krishna consciousness. What is Krishna consciousness? It means service—jive daya, Name ruchi, Vaishnava seva. You must go to each fallen soul and give them the message of Gurudev, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Guru Maharaj. What did Chaitanya Mahaprabhu tell Sanatan Goswami?

জীবে দয়া, নামে রুচি, বৈষ্ণব সেবা ।
ইহা বহি সনাতন নাহি আর ধর্ম্ম ॥

jive daya name ruchi vaisnava seva
iha bahi sanatana nahi ara dharma

"Be merciful to the souls, chant the Holy Name, and serve the Vaishnavs. Sanatan, besides this, there is no other religion."

That is the religion. We must be kind to the jiva souls.

You must engage every jiva soul in service of the Lord—even a flower tree, even a mango tree, even a guava tree, even a rice plant. You must engage everything—whatever grows or exists in this world—in the service of the Lord. All of us—trees, plants, humans, even dogs, cats—are covered by the illusory environment. We are serving maya, but what is Gurudev's duty? What is Gurudev's message? He removes us from the illusory environment and sends us to the service planet, the place where service is going on. Where is that place? That is Goloka Vrindavan. In this world, we are serving maya, but Gurudev has taken us from maya and sent us for Krishna's service to Goloka Vrindavan. That is called jive daya.

Name ruchi—chant the Holy Name everywhere, anywhere. Not only four rounds or sixteen rounds—you can chant at any time: grhe thako vane thako sada hari bole dako. Wherever you live—whether you live in a forest, on a train, on a bus or you are sitting on an airplane—you must chant the Holy Name all the time.

Think about Krishna. Chant Krishna's Name. Do everything for Krishna. Whatever you do—whether you are doing some service or you are doing your work—you can use everything in service. For example, that Prabhu has given you this place for speaking Hari-katha, Krishna-katha today—that is his sukriti, he has done something for Krishna's service. He may be a school teacher or a school manager, but he has given you all and me a chance to service Krishna, to distribute Hari-katha, Krishna-katha. That is his sukriti. That is called jive daya. That is called Name ruchi.

Chant everywhere. The problem is that you have fever. If you have fever and your mother, wife or you yourself cook something good, you will not get any taste because your health is not good. In the same way, we are not happy to chant the Holy Name, we do not get taste for chanting the Holy Name because we have pancha rog, five diseases. When you are sick (you have fever or any problem), you go to a doctor, but this kind of diseases must be removed through a good doctor, that is the Guru. You must take shelter of a Guru who is a second-hand associate, next closest sevaite of Sri Sri Guru Gandharva Govinda Sundar, that is Gurudev. His duty is to initiate you. A bona fide Guru never thinks about your money, your wealth—a real Guru thinks only about your spiritual matter, how to remove you from maya and send you to Goloka Vrindavan for the service of Radha Krishna. You must always remember this.

What is your duty after you take initiation? Your duty is Vaishnav seva. Vaishnavs always think about Krishna, Vaishnavs always think about service, that is why you must serve them. Service to a Vaishnav does not mean you must always stay with the Vaishnav, you must always sleep on the same bed with the Vaishnav—that is not service. You must follow his instruction.

Service: Faith and Surrender
'If somebody has Gurudev's photo, the Deities' photo in their house, they can worship themselves—their house becomes a temple. Even though they cannot come to the temple, they should cook for the Deities and take prasad. Not all devotees may be doing it, but it is necessary.'
