Sri Ramananda Ray's Expertise His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Later, when Ramananda Ray stayed in Puri, one day a brahman named Pradyumna Misra came to Mahaprabhu and asked Him if he could hear Krishna-katha from Him. Mahaprabhu replied, "I do not know Krishna-katha. Go to Ramananda Ray." Pradyumna Misra went to Ramananda Ray, but at that time Ramananda Ray was busy teaching Jagannath's Deva Dasis dancing—he was showing them how to dance, how to wear clothes, etc., and he himself was dressing them also. When Pradyumna Misra heard that this was what he was doing in the garden, he thought, "What kind of a sadhu is this? Why is he doing this?" Pradyumna Misra left and went back to Mahaprabhu. Mahaprabhu asked him, "Have you not heard Krishna-katha?" Pradyumna Misra did not say anything, and Mahaprabhu understood what had happened—He told Pradyumna Misra, "Go to Ramananda Ray again." So, Pradyumna Misra went to Ramananda Ray again, and this time Ramananda Ray met with him. He said, "Please forgive my offence. I was busy yesterday. What is your question?" Then Pradyumna Misra and Ramananda Ray conversed about Krishna-katha the whole night—even when prasadam came in the evening, they forgot all about it. Then whole night passed and when the sun rose in the morning, they stopped. Pradyumna Misra was very happy, he said, "You have got mercy from Krishna! Only you can distribute Krishna-katha!" Pradyumna Misra came back to Mahaprabhu and said, "Yes, Prabhu, You have sent me to a perfect person." Mahaprabhu said, "Yes! I will tell you more. Even My mind can be disturbed if I see a picture of a lady, but when Ramananda Ray dresses and touches the bodies of girls, etc. at that time he is not a man—he becomes a women, a gopi."
Jay Sri Ramananda Prabhu ki jay! [His Divine Grace then chants "Radhe Jaya Jaya Madhava Dayite" kirtan.]
