(14/14) Come to Serve Devotees His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
You all know that our Guru Maharaj has a very beautiful temple of Nitai-Gaura in Ekachakra. Please come there. And also, when the time comes for Sri Nabadwip Dham parikrama, wherever I am staying, in Nabadwip or in Nrisingha Palli, please come, too. I am also making a temple in Mayapur, but I have not been able to finish it yet. There is some problem with the land, so I have not been able to put sand and bricks yet to level the land and prepare for the construction. Devotee: Where is the temple? It is near Chaitanya Math and Yogapith. If I can enter our Nabadwip temple, I will go there, and if not, we will start the parikrama from our temple in Nrisingha Palli, you can tolerate some austerity and stay there. Please come and do the dham parikrama. Please come to Ekachakra also. Come on the ekadasi or dvadasi day. This year, ekadasi is on the dvadasi day, the appearance day of Lord Varahadev, so we will be fasting on dvadasi. We will be there for two more days, on trayodasi and chaturdasi. Come for a few days, do some service there. Coming for a festival means engaging yourself in service. I have told you today about vaishnav-seva and bhakta-seva. If you do not serve pure Vaishnavs, you cannot become a pure Vaishnav; if you do not serve devotees, you cannot become a devotee. Remember this. What to speak of becoming pure Vaishnavs, we cannot even serve pure Vaishnavs. How can we then be Vaishnavs? So, please come for the festivals. The festival in Ekachakra will start from 17 February and will last three–four days. Everybody must fast on ekadasi. We will arrange for prasad for everyone on the next day. This is actually Nityananda Prabhu's desire. He is avadhut, and He did not like fasting. He did not worry about fasting – He would eat anywhere and everywhere. We must follow Nityananda Prabhu, not imitate Him. You can see yourself the desire of Nityananda Prabhu – this year, ekadasi falls on the Varaha dvadasi day, and we must also fast until midday on the next day, trayodasi. But because we must also break ekadasi on that day, we will be breaking the fast early. So, even though we want to fast until midday on Nityananda-trayodasi, Nityananda Prabhu did not want it. Breaking the fast after ekadasi means we must eat something – some Jagannath prasad, or some mudi, rice or kitchuri. It means that we will not be fasting until midday. So, Nityananda Prabhu does not want us to fast till midday this year. We will be giving prasad to everyone in the morning on Trayodasi. This is my plan. We will give mudi with some subji or gugni, and after that, we will go for the parikrama and at midday, there will be a festival. Anyhow, much has been said. Let us chant some kirtans now. You must chant kirtans. We have small kirtan books, you can take them. We do not make business with books, the price of the books is the cost of printing them. When you buy the books, we use that money to print books again. There is no need for any profit. Our small Saranagati books are only ten rupees (they were printed many years ago, when the printing price was much lower), you will not get it so cheap anywhere else. We have also printed new hard-cover full Gitanjali books, there were a few kirtans added in it. If you already have it, you do not have to buy it, but if somebody does not have it, they should buy it. There are also Guidance books, volumes one and two (volume three is coming out soon). They are written in simple language. What I have told you about today is written in them in a nice and simple way. You can see there how you must practise Krishna consciousness. Jay Srila Guru Maharaj ki jay.
