Undaunted and Undeprived His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
This year I gave an advertisement in the newspaper. In many places, when you go to a temple or some place, you must give some money, and they give the rate for different accommodation types and the duration of the stay, but I wrote an invitation for the parikrama from Nrisingha Palli and wrote it was free of charge. It is not necessary to give any money—if you want, you can give, if you not, then do not give. I do not care. Anyone who wants can come, we can always rent some rooms, etc. The Lord provides and makes sure we have no lack. Gurudev also gave his blessing and told me many times that even if you are robbed and everything is taken, you will not be poor by that. I am always only holding onto Krishna and only praying that you may be able to do this parikrama. Devotees: Nitai Gaura Hari bol! I do not think about earning money, I only always think about the Lord, about service to Gurudev and devotees. I always think how to serve the devotees. I do not mind if everyone comes. We have collected a lot of bhoga, a lot of rice, etc. I was told that in some areas there had been too many rains and all the potato had been spoilt, but in the areas where I go collecting, nobody's potato had got spoilt. You can see how the Lord's will works. People cry and complain that all their potato had been spoilt, but in the places where we go collecting, near Tarakeshwar, there is no loss at all, everything is OK. When one serves the Lord, the Lord provides for them. Of course, there can be some temporary hardships and austerity also—having forgotten the Lord we are burning now with the three-fold miseries and again and again keep coming to this material world to enjoy... [On the order of His Divine Grace, Western devotees are served prasadam earlier. Suddenly, His Divine Grace is distracted by talks in the background:] It is not good! Prasadam time always pray to and glorify prasadam:
mahaprasade govinde nama-brahmani vaisnave "O king, one whose fortune is meagre never develops faith in mahaprasad, Govinda, the Holy Name, or the Vaisnavas."
bhai re! "The body is a net of illusion, and the material senses are the enemies; they throw the soul into the ocean of mundanity. Among the senses, the tongue is the most greedy and wicked. It is very difficult to conquer the tongue in this world."
krsna bada dayamaya karibare jihva jaya "O brothers! Krsna is very merciful: to conquer the tongue He has given us His remnants! Accept this nectarean food, sing the glories of Radha-Krsna, and with love call out, 'Chaitanya! Nitai!'" You must only talk Krishna-katha, only chant Hare Krishna. Always think about Krishna, think that you are taking Krishna-prasad! Do not forget the Lord. We pray to you. If any of you have not brought tilak from home, you can buy it for five-ten rupees. Even when you go to your home also, you should always do tilak-seva. Also, many of you wear gold chains, etc.—be careful with it, it can tear and get lost on parikrama. Do not bring much money or gold with you, you will always worry about it. Also be careful with your mobile phones. Always wear neck beads (kanthi-mala), you can buy it at our bookstore outside the temple (these neck beads are real Tulasi, we have got it from the person who makes the chanting beads). Keep a spare mala also because it can sometimes break when you are cleaning or take bath. Those who do not wear Tulasi-mala are very unfortunate. In this Kali-yuga people do not wear Tulasi beads, many think that if they eat meat and fish, what is the use wearing Tulasi neck beads? It will be a sin. Wearing Tulasi beads is never a sin. In another way also, if someone wears Tulasi beads and knows that it is not good to eat meat, to lie, etc. and wear Tulasi beads, then they will become somewhat scared to eat meat or tell a lie and gradually start lying less and eating fish, meat less. Whichever way, it is never a sin to wear Tulasi beads. Wear Tulasi neck bead and tilak. Here we are now selling the original tilak we brought from Dvaraka—in Dvaraka, there are some places where the soil is like tilak, and we brought it from there. Such is the land in Dvaraka, where Krishna stayed.
