Devotee: Jay Om Vishnupad Paramahamsa Jagad-Guru Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj ki jay. Harinam sankirtan ki jay. Nitai Gaura premanande Hari bol.

By the mercy of Sri Gurupadpadma, by the mercy of Gurudev, we have all assembled here at Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math in Sri Nrisingha Palli. By the mercy of Srila Gurudev, we have got some small temple of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math within Nabadwip Dham, here in Nrisingha Palli. We did parikrama from here last year and we see that this year many more people have come from various countries and corners of the world, tolerating all the austerities and difficulties. Despite the difficulty of making the parikrama from here, still our parikrama continues every year without stop—so many devotees tolerate it and sleep on the ground, on the veranda, in the pandal, etc. because the place here is small.

You may have heard it from Gurudev also, and I also saw it when I first came, that in early days when devotees did parikrama from Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, there were not so many big and grand buildings in our Math. Behind the temple, there used to be a bamboo forest; where the five-storey building is, there used to be a flour-making machine that was used to husk wheat and make atta (wholewheat flour) for chapatis. At that time there were no big buildings, and during festivals devotees (including foreign devotees) would make a tent in the garden and stay there. I have seen it.

We are staying here, tolerating some austerity, and the Lord no doubt sees it, and He will judge—the Lord can see, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu can see how much you are suffering staying on the veranda, etc. At your homes, you sleep in a big building, you stay in a very happy place, in a separate room, etc., but here you are roughing it in one room with five-six other people or someone maybe even with thirty-forty other people. I see it and when I see how much energy you get despite everything, and I feel very happy—it is on the strength of your energy, on the strength of your love and affection that we are going to start our Nabadwip Dham parikrama from tomorrow.

Today is the adhivas day. So many devotees have come from so many countries and all over Bengal. There are devotees from Howrah, Uluberia, Hooghly, Bardhaman, Murshidabad, Birbhum, Midnapore, Siluguri. Srila Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaj here has come from Mexico with many devotees, Jay Balai Prabhu also came with Maharaj. Sripad Tyagi Maharaj here preaches as my representative all over the world. You all know that for various reasons I have not been able to go abroad, and for many years now Sripad Tyagi Maharaj has been doing this service for me. Sankar Prabhu, Ravin Krishna Prabhu, Rajeshwari Didi who used to cook for Guru Maharaj, along with their daughters and son-in-law Yuga Vardhan Prabhu have come from Singapore. Shyamali Didi has come from South Africa, she is a very dear devotee of Guru Maharaj. Most of the devotees who always stay with me and take care of me are from Venezuela. Visakha Didi and Vraja Mohini Didi have come from America, Visakha Didi mostly stays in London. Amalendu Prabhu has come from Russia, he loves me very much and always helps me. Adhoksaja Prabhu has come with his wife from Mauritius, he looks after the devotees and temple in Mauritius. You can also see the devotee named Priya Krishna Prabhu who does the puja and arati here in the temple and looks after the temple here; his son Purna Prajna Prabhu also stays with me and drives the car. Anjali Didi has come from London—despite her age, she has so much energy! You can see her dancing and understand it. Many more devotees have come from Mexico, some have come from Colombia and Brazil also. Ramananda Prabhu has come with his wife from America. Several devotees have come from Nepal, including Nanda Priya Didi. Sanjeev Prabhu has come from Delhi. Madhumangal and several other devotees have come from Bokaro—it is the place that Sripad Niriha Maharaj comes from. I have come to preach in their village this year. You can see they come to every parikrama—they always distribute prasadam to you, they help you; every year they leave everything and work so hard during the festivals. There are also some devotees from Nadia, those who stay nearby. Sripad Mahayogi Maharaj has also come from London. Sripad Parivrajak Maharaj from Malaysia stays here, he has recently taken sannyas. Sripad Sadhu Maharaj is from Venezuela, he has also taken sannyas recently; he is the manager of our temple in Venezeula—he listened to what I had told him and, having left everything, he is now preaching. Nimai Chandra Prabhu is also here, his brother Purujit Prabhu was also here. Gauranga Prabhu is also here from Brazil, he went for preaching with me. There is a new boy also from Brazil, I gave him the name Mathuranath Prabhu. They always serve with so much enthusiasm—they go to the market with me and carry big bags. Also, I must mention devotees from Hooghly who have been helping much, also Tarok Prabhu is here, he has brought much bhog, rice, dal, etc. Sripad Niriha Maharaj went for collection with me to Bardhaman recently. Ashok Prabhu's health is not very good, so he could not come, a few days ago also his brother's wife died, but he had gone to many places around Bardhaman to preach and collect for Gaura Purnima. All the ladies from Hooghly district also had been going house to house collecting bhog, rice, money, oil, etc. They help a lot. There is also one more girl from America, Devaki Didi, a daughter of Srutasrava Prabhu. I saw her first when she was perhaps three years old, she was the same age as the elder son of Yuga Vardhan Prabhu. She has now grown up and is running the book store here with Radharani Didi. Also, Krishna Kumar Prabhu is here—he has a big well-paid job in his country and was supposed to return to long ago, but to stay for Gaura Purnima, he got a certificate from a doctor that he had got into an accident and sent it to his boss. There are many more devotees here with us today, I do not know some of them personally.

So, many devotees have come from various places around the world to do this Nabadwip Dham parikrama. May the Lord give them all auspiciousness and look after them. Actually, the Lord makes sure we have no lack—everybody is entrusted with some property of the Lord and the Lord sends everything that is necessary for us through the devotees from various places so that there would be no austerity for the devotees.

I will not speak much longer now, we are still going to do the kirtans and hear more Hari-katha. Listen about the pastimes of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu when Maharajs speak, I will also speak every day. Try to tolerate it and sit in the nat mandir, today is the adhivas and it is necessary to give everyone a chance to speak. There are many foreign devotees sitting here—some do not know Bengali language, some do not know English language also, they speak Spanish, some speak only Russian language. There are different languages here besides English and we must try to serve all devotees, this is our main goal. I am requesting Srila Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaj to speak now. You all know that he stayed with Gurudev for a long time and during Gurudev's last time he was always there with him and did much personal service. Srila Ashram Maharaj preaches in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and other places.

Also, I forgot to say that Srila Janardan Maharaj is also coming soon from China with Chinese devotees. He could not come earlier because of his poor health. Also, some devotees will come from Australia and there is also one new girl from Japan sent by Ajitasha Didi.

I am very happy to see you all. You can see that I actually have no desire for anything—my only desire is that you engage me in your service. Do not hesitate, if you want anything, you can tell me about it and I will try to help. All these austerities are a test for us. Gurudev has made so many buildings through my hand, but today the situation is such that if there were not such grand buildings, if there was only one broken building, there would not have been so much fighting and quarrel. Yet our temple is so opulent now—after Gurudev's disappearance also, many things have been improved and built—his samadhi-mandir was fully marbled, Govinda Kunda also was fully marbled, there is a good prasadam hall, an elevation for the goshala, etc. So many things have been done there after Gurudev left, and so many new temples and branches have opened also—Nrisinhga Palli, Tarakeshwar, Ganga Sagar, Kalna, Bakura, Burdwan, Ekachakra, Siliguri, etc. By the way, some devotees have come from Siliguri also, they are tolerating and sleeping here on the veranda, but they have come for the parikrama. Many have come from Birbhum district also.

Many devotees are helping us, and I am very pleased, I am very happy with you all. I have no duplicity or anything like that—I speak openly, I do not hide anything, I tell you everything. My heart is open for you all, my door is open for everybody. I am very happy with those who always serve my Guru—some serve me, but I think that if you serve my Guru, it will be much better and I will be much happier. I can say to those of you who are helping and supporting my Guru, who are serving Gurudev's temples, that I will always be with you, and I am always with all of you too—wherever I go, wherever I am, I will take you all with me. Even if I die, I will take you all with me. [His Divine Grace laughs.] I do not know how long I will be alive in this world, neither do you know how long you will stay in this world, but I will always be with you, I will always look after you. There is no big building, no grandeur, nothing now, but you are spending your days lying on the veranda, on the ground. I am very happy, I am very pleased with you—may Gurudev's mercy, Gurudev's blessings be with you. Actually, we did not take initiation from a building or from a temple—we have taken initiation from our Guru, so wherever Gurudev is, wherever Gurudev stays, we will go there. That is our vision.

Jay Srila Guru Maharaj ki jay!

Raghav's Bags
'In Mahaprabhu's times, Damayanti, the sister of Raghav Pandit, would make so much food for Mahaprabhu during the whole year, and at the Ratha Yatra time, on the Gundicha marjan day, they would bring bags full of food for Mahaprabhu.'
