Falling into Maya's clutches, we have been living in this material bondage since time immemorial, crossing over millions and millions of births. Having travelled throughout 8,400,000 species – having been born as different kinds of trees, plants, insects, beasts, birds and acquatics, forest animals, cows, goats, sheep, cats, monkeys, etc. – we were somehow very fortunate to get a human birth this time. But, although we have got a human birth, we still live just like we lived in any other previous birth – we only think about eating, sleeping, defending and breeding. We only think about our bodies: 'How will I live?', 'What will I eat?', 'How will I sleep?' and so on. This is how we spend the whole life up until death. But this is not what this life is for! We have not got a human birth for all this.

You can eat, sleep, defend yourselves and have children, but amidst all that you must serve God. You must give time to God. You must chant kirtan for the Lord – you must chant His Names and glories. This is what sadhus, gurus and Vaishnavs come to you to tell you about because conditioned souls living in illusion have no knowledge or remembrance of Lord Krishna: ‘Krsna-bahirmukha jivera nahi Krsna-smrti-jnana (কৃষ্ণবহির্ম্মুখ জীবের নাহি কৃষ্ণস্মৃতি-জ্ঞান). The souls who are averse to Krishna have no knowledge or remembrance of Krishna’ (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 2.20.123). This knowledge and remembrance awaken in the association of devotees. If you remember sadhus and Vaishnavs, if you serve them, then you will automatically be able to remember them and the Lord.

Sadhus very mercifully come to your homes, so do not delay – however much time you still have, start now. Value your time.

Lord Krishna is the master of this world, but we forget it. Everything in this world happens by His will. The day before yesterday I attended a conference in Purulia. Many big college professors, principals and scientists from Jammu, Kashmir and other places came there. Following Darwinism, they think that life comes from fossil. We debunk this. All these scientists create great bombs, aeroplanes and other big things, and I asked them one question: 'Can you create a blade of grass? Can you create a single grain of rice? Can you create one single potato? Do you have the power to do that?' They claim that education is everything. The vice-principal of Purulia University made a speech and said that education can give this, this, that. When I was in High Court, I heard about one case. So, I asked all those great scientists about it. There was a gentleman who worked as a pilot, his wife was a bank manager. At some point, the man kicked his mother out, and she went to live as a beggar in Vrindavan. After a while, she came to High Court and cried, 'My son works as a pilot and earns three lakhs a month, his wife is a bank manager and earns a lakh a month, but they have kicked me out. Is this what your education gives?'

I was recently on a train. My seat was on the top berth, but I was lying down on the lower berth, resting. A young nineteen-year-old girl came to the compartment and told me that it was her seat. I told her, 'OK, I will go up.' But then her father came and told her, 'Maharaj is sixty years old, let him lie down here. You can climb up.' She refused. This is your education. Why does your education not teach people basic things? A sixty-year-old person should climb up, and a young child should sleep down.

So, following the teachings of Darwinism, they claim that life comes from fossil. How can life come from stone?... I also spoke about dengue as an example. Scientists invent big bombs that can efface an entire country, but one tiny mosquito can kill so many more people and nobody can stop it. So, what power do scientists have? No power! The master is the Lord, but they forget it.
