By the mercy of Gurudev, we have again come to preach in Vijayawada this year, all the devotees here are engaging me in service. I saw that Vijayawada devotees did a lot of service during the Vrindavan parikrama—their service enthusiasm encouraged me to come here again.

Actually, our duty is to always distribute the message of Srila Gurudev, the message of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu—we must distribute the religion of Kali-yuga everywhere, door to door.

In this age of Kali, people struggle all day from morning until night for the sake of their bodies, for themselves, and we do not realise that one day, when we close our eyes, we will have to leave everything here—all our houses, cars, etc. We will have to leave everything and go to the cremation ghat.

We always say that now is not the time to practise Krishna consciousness or come to religion—we say that when we retire, then we will join religion; but we must understand that when we become old enter retired life, after sixty or seventy years old, our health will go down and so many diseases will attack us, so many problems will come to us, and whatever previous karma we did will also give pressure to us (sometimes we will even need to use somebody's help to move us from one place to another)—at that time our mind will not be able to concentrate on chanting the Holy Name, at that time our mind will always disturb us because there will always be some pain in legs, bones, etc.

That is why Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur says that those who say that they will practise Krishna consciousness when they retire are actually cheating Lord Krishna. Therefore, when a representative of Krishna, a representative of the Lord comes to you, you should not lose time—do not wait for a long time. Take initiation, surrender and take shelter of the Lord through the guru.
