দৈন্য, আত্মনিবেদন, গোপ্তৃত্বে বরণ ॥
'অবশ্য রক্ষিবে কৃষ্ণ'—বিশ্বাস পালন ॥

dainya, atma-nivedana, goptrtve varana
'avasya raksibe krsna'—visvasa palana

[Limbs of surrender:] "Humility, self-submission, embracing the Lord’s guardianship, maintaining the faith that 'Krishna will certainly protect me.'"

My parents gave me this body, but they did not give that which I am. Therefore, Krishna is my father, and Krishna is my mother—the Lord has created that which I am. My parents gave me only this temporary, perishable biological body, that is why they are called my biological parents, but the truth is that I am a soul, a particle of the Lord, and this soul is given by the Lord. If my parents were my creators, if they were my own, then why will they leave me and go away? They come to this world only for a few days to live in this material world, and I am also sent to this world for a few days. The Lord has sent me to this world—He has created my soul, I am His part and particle. It is necessary to know this, it is necessary to understand who you are. What is our identity? This is the first thing what we must know. If we do not know it and just always say "Krishna Krishna," "Hari, Hari," we will not be able to understand anything. We chant kirtans, but it is necessary to realise the mood of hearts. Only singing words will not do.

Therefore, I am telling to you all humbly, with folded palms: please chant the Holy Name of Lord Krishna, take shelter of a bona fide Guru. The problem is in some trifle small things—the problem is in tongue-pleasures: you cannot give up eating meat, fish, onion, garlic, masoor dal, you cannot follow Ekadasi. Because of all these things you cannot take initiation. This is the truth, there is nothing else to it. This is the state of Kali-yuga. People can give up gambling, they can even give up smoking, taking drugs, drinking tea, but when they think of the singi mach (a kind of fish) that is cultivated and the time of harvest comes, they cannot resist it. They think, "How can I give up fish? No, I will not take initiation." If you want to get great things, you must give up small things.

You know, tigers' and lions' nature is such that if they do not eat five kg of chicken or goat meat, they go crazy, they cannot live without it. However, humans are intelligent—they understand, "There is no benefit if I eat this. If I eat this, I will be committing a sin, I will be doing wrong. This is a soul created by God, and if I kill it, I will be eating my own flesh." Do you know what scientists say? They say, "I am this body." I say to them, "Everybody says that when you eat something, it is dissolved in the body, so if you say you are this body, it means that when you eat potato you become a potato!" We are souls! It is only this body that is composed of earth, water, fire, air, and ether. They do not understand this atma-jnan (knowledge of the self). Scientists say they will create robots and then be able to create humans. Our answer to that is this: can they create even one wheat plant? Can they give life one wheat seed? They create bombs, atom bombs, so many bigs things, but can they create a simple wheat seed? One mosquito can infect everyone with dengue and finish everyone off, but you cannot even create one mosquito! You brag about atom bombs, about this thing, that thing, and you say you will create humans in one thousand years! One thousand years later, they will again say "in one thousand years." What is not to be will never be. However, the Lord can do everything: "kartavya na akartavya anya ta kartama"—He can cancel that which is to happen, and if He can do even that which is not to happen. This is the Lord:

ঈশ্বরঃ পরমঃ কৃষ্ণঃ সচ্চিদানন্দবিগ্রহঃ ।
অনাদিরাদির্গোবিন্দঃ সর্ব্বকারণকারণম্ ॥

isvarah paramah krsnah sach-chid-ananda-vigrahah
anadir adir govindah sarva-karana-karanam

Krishna, who is known as Govinda, is the supreme controller. He has an eternal, blissful, spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin, for He is the prime cause of all causes.

(Sri Brahma-samhita, 5.1)

He is the cause of all causes—by His wish, the sun gives heat; by His wish, the moon cools; everything happens by His wish, and it is by His wish that nothing can happen. Nothing happens without His wish.

Therefore, whatever happens happens by the wish of the Lord. Whatever happens is for the better, and what is gone is gone. You should not worry or think about it, and there is no time to think about all this. Do not waste your time. We must always live amidst spiritual life, amidst worship of the Lord, amidst chanting the glory of the Lord and our Gurudev.

How long will you live? How many days will you be here in this world?...
