Devotee: What is the programme for the Kartik this year?

Actually, if trains run, we will make the programme, but it has not been announced yet whether the trains will run and from which month. Now, everything is closed until 31 August. They will declare later what will be after that. If the number of diseased patients does not increase, trains may start running from September, and if the number increases day by day, then they may again not allow to travel by trains. Almost all Indian train are closed now, only some special trains are running...

Devotee: Can you sing a kirtan for us?

A kirtan? OK. [His Divine Grace sings 'Gurudev, krpa bindu diya'.]

When I see you all, I am remembering my Guru – I am remembering him sitting in the nat mandir... You are keeping connection with Gurudev, and Gurudev is always with you all. Gurudev is watching how much you are tolerating, how much you are practising. Gurudev sees everything. It is necessary to have the strongest faith in that.

'শ্রদ্ধা' শব্দে—বিস্বাস কহে সুদৃঢ় নিশ্চয় ।
কৃষ্ণে ভক্তি কৈলে সর্ব্বকর্ম্ম কৃত হয় ॥

'sraddha'-sabde—visvasa kahe sudrdha nischaya
krsne bhakti kaile sarva-karma krta haya

"Sraddha is a firm, determined faith that by serving Krishna all actions are accomplished."

(Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 2.22.62)

You must have the strongest faith in Gurudev: you must believe that Gurudev will protect us, that Gurudev is taking care of us and so on. Gurudev can take us from the illusory environment to Goloka Vrindavan – that is his desire, and he has the power to take us there. We must only try to serve him. That is our main duty. We must only try.

In this world, if you give a letter to the Lord, you will not get any answer; but if you give a letter to His associate (parsad) or His close friend (Gurudev), you will get an answer. In our spiritual life, we must take initation from a bona fide Guru, and you have done it – you have taken initiation from a bona fide guru. Now your duty is to practise Krishna consciousness properly. You must give more energy and more time for the service to the Lord, for the service to your Guru.

The problem is that we are always ruined by the five material diseases (pancha-roge hata): avidya (ignorance), asmita (false identification), raga (misdirected love), dves (aversion to anything that goes against one's enjoyment) and abhinives (being unable to give up unfavourable habits). We suffer from so many diseases, but we must overcome these diseases through practising, through sravan and kirtan. We must follow this method and do everything properly. That is our real goal.

We can reach our real goal, real destination, and only Gurudev can take us there. We have got this very important life, and it is necessary to understand that you have got this human body for practising Krishna consciousness, for service to the Lord and our Guru. We have got this opportunity and we must use it. This is the main thing for us in our spiritual life.

Today is also Baladev's appearance day. It is Baladev's day, Gurudev's day. Jay Baladev Prabhu ki jay. Jay Haladhari Prabhu. Baladev Prabhu is non different from the Lord. Eka-i dehe dui rupa: Krishna and Balaram, Gauranga and Nitai are one but manifest as two forms. And in Kali-yuga, Balaram comes as Nitai, non-different from Gurudev. If you worship Baladev and Nityananda Prabhu properly, you must get mercy of the Lord.
