This Sri Godrum dham is an abode of kirtan (kirtanakhya-dham). There are nine islands in Nabadwip, each of them corresponds to one of the nine kinds of devotion. Godrumdwip is the place of kirtan. It is necessary to chant as much kirtan as possible when you are here. Whether you are eating, sleeping, sitting or doing anything else, you should always chant kirtan. 'Ye dina grha bhajana dekhi grhete goloka bhaya (যে দিন গৃহে ভজন দেখি গৃহেতে গোলোক ভায়). On the days when I see devotional service taking place in my home, I feel that Goloka has manifested there' (Saranagati, Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur).

শুদ্ধ ভকত-চরণ-রেণু
ভজন-অনুকূল ।
ভকত-সেবা পরম-সিদ্ধি
প্রেমলতিকার মূল ॥

When Mahaprabhu left Srivas Pandit's house, He said, 'Srivas, I will always come to your house.' Mahaprabhu said that He always stayed at four places: in the kitchen of Mother Sachi (He said, 'Whenever Mother is cooking and thinking about Me, I always come to her'), wherever Nityananda Prabhu danced, at the house of Sri Raghav Pandit and at the house of Srivas Pandit. Have you ever been to Raghav Pandit's house? It is in Panihati, where the chira-dahi mahotsav is held every year. Raghav Pandit was a disciple of Nityananda Prabhu. It was in Panihati that Srila Das Goswami Prabhu received Nityananda Prabhu's mercy – after that, he was able to come to Mahaprabhu. His material bondage was destroyed.

Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur writes in one of his kirtans, 'What can I say in Your glorification, my Lord? My consciousness is covered by illusory environment! Please give me Your mercy! When will You give me the qualification and the right to chant Your kirtan? When will I be able to become humbler than a blade of grass and more tolerant than a tree and give honour to others?'

We must give honour to others. We must not see others' faults. Always look at your own faults. You do not need to look for others' faults. If you look for faults in others, the fault you see will come to you. Gurudev said also that if you always talk about somebody's faults, those faults will come to you. So, never search faults in others. You must always ignore others' faults because noticing others' faults will not help you practise Krishna consciousness. There is no need to discuss who does what, gossiping about others and criticising others. If you do all this, you will be removed from Krishna consciousness – you will be dismissed from Krishna consciousness. If you do karma, you will have to reap the corresponding results of your actions.

I have to say these things, and who listens to it and who does not, it is your matter. Those who listen will pass. Those listen to these things and follow these things will come to the Lord. Mahaprabhu also told everything. He flooded the whole of Nadia with divine love, but all the offenders fled.

prema vanyaya nadiya bhasaila
ninduka-pasandi-gana dhaiya palaiya

'When the Lord flooded Nadiya with divine love, all offenders and faithless people fled at once!'
