Extreme Mercy His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Krishna is so merciful, but Gaura is even more merciful than Him. Krishna performs madhurya-lila (conjugal pastimes of sweetness), and Gaura performs audarya-lila (magnanimous pastimes). He forgot His own self while magnanimously rescuing jiva souls. When Gauranga Mahaprabhu came to Kashi, He lamented, "I have brought Krishna-prema from Gauda-dham anyone and everyone without asking any price, but there is nobody to take this Krishna-prema. I have travelled all over India from South India up until Haridwar. Whom will I give it to?" Do you understand? Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Sri Nityananda Prabhu distributed Krishna-prema without any price! Gaura gave Krishna-prema to the entire world. This is so beautiful. We also chant in one of the kirtans,
ke yabi ke yabi bhai bhava-sindhu para Brother, who will cross? Who will cross this ocean of material existence? Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appears in this fortunate Kali-yuga!
hari-namera tarikhani sri-guru-kandari The Lord's Names are the ferryboat, Sri Guru is the captain, and the arms raised in the sankirtan are the oars. The Holy Name is a boat, and the captain of this boat is Gurudev. If we can take shelter of Gurudev and practise Krishna consciousness, then we will get genuine benefit. It is necessary to surrender to your Guru. So many people come, but they do not really take shelter of their Guru.
আশ্রয় লইয়া ভজে তার কৃষ্ণ নাহি ত্যজে
asraya la-iya bhaje, tare krsna nahi tyaje "Krishna never leaves those who take shelter in Him and serve Him—all others die in vain." It is necessary to take shelter to practise Krishna consciousness. We must surrender to a bona fide Guru, surrender to Nityananda Prabhu, and practise Krishna consciousness in His shelter; otherwise, there is no other way for us (there is no other way to attain real result). Nitai is 'Doyal Thakur'—He is worshippable Lord, mercy incarnate...
