Sriman Mahaprabhu's Nityananda Stuti

When Sriman Mahaprabhu was in Panihati, He sang in praise of Sri Nityananda Prabhu. Mahaprabhu is the Supreme Lord Himself, and Sri Nityananda Prabhu is non-different from Mahaprabhu—He manifests to serve Mahaprabhu, that is why it is said 'eki dehe dui rupa' (Their form is one, but there are two of them).

panihati-grame haila parama ananda
apane saksat yatha prabhu gaurachandra

The village of Panihati became filled with ecstasy, for Lord Gaurachandra was personally present there.

raghava pandita-prati sri-gaurasundara
nibhrte karila kichhu rahasya-uttara

Sri Gaurasundara spoke some confidential topics to Raghava Pandita in a solitary place.

"raghava, tomare ami nija-gopya kai
amara dvitiya nahi nityananda-bai

"O Raghava, I have something confidential to tell you. Nityananda is nondifferent from Me.

ei nityananda yei karaya amare
se-i kari ami, ei balila tomare

"I tell you, I do whatever Nityananda wants Me to do.

amara sakala karma-nityananda-dvare
akapate ei ami kahila tomare

"I tell you frankly that all My activities are performed through Nityananda.

yei ami, se-i nityananda—bheda nai
tomara gharei saba janiba ethai

"There is no difference between Myself and Nityananda. Everyone in your house will come to know this.

maha-yogesvare yaha paite durlabha
nityananda haite taha paiba sulabha

"From Nityananda you will easily obtain that which is rarely attained by the best of the mystic yogis.

eteke haiya tumi maha-savadhana
nityananda seviha—yehena bhagavan"

"Therefore you should very carefully serve Nityananda, knowing Him to be the Supreme Lord Himself."

If you look at a Deity and see stone, brass, etc. then you do not know what service is (i.e. if you try to serve, it will not be service). The Deity is not a doll, not an idol—the Deity is the Lord Himself! Krishna Himself played here with Nityananda Prabhu and then disappeared. Later, His Deity was found at Kadam-khandi. When you went for the parikrama, you saw the last place—there is Krishna's Deity in the temple, together with Jahnava and Vasuddha. Jahnava and Vasuddha found that Deity of Bankarai Krishna floating in the Yamuna.

tilarddheka nityanande dvesa yara rahe
satata bhajileo se mora priya nahe

"If somebody is envious of Nityananda, they can never become dear to Me, even if they worship Me constantly."

gopi-ganera sei prema kahe bhagavate
eka nityananda haite paibe jagate

If you worship Nityananda, you can get the deepest transcendental love of gopis. Without Him, you can never attain it.

samsarera para haiya bhaktira sagare
ye dubibe, se bhajuka nitaichandere

Anyone who wants to cross the material ocean and merge in the ocean of devotional service must worship the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda.

If you are to cross this ocean of material existence, you must worship Nityananda Prabhu, Gurudev. You cannot make it without worshipping the Guru.

mukhe-o ye jana bale muni nityananda-dasa
avasya janibe amara svarupa prakasa

"Those who say (even just lip-deep) that they are a servant of Nityananda Prabhu, will no doubt know the manifestation of My form."

madira yavani yadi nityananda dhare
tathapi brahmara vandya kahila tomare

"Even if Nityananda Prabhu takes a drunk lady by Her hand, He is always worshippable even for Lord Brahma."

'svatantra' kariya vede ye krsnere kaya
hena krsna para tumi karite vikraya

"You are able to sell Krishna, who is proclaimed as fully independent in the Vedas."

Nitai can sell Krishna to you! Do you understand this? He has such power!

prabhu kahe ei nityananda svarupere
ye karaye bhakti-sraddha se kare amare

The Lord says, "Those who have devotion and faith for this Nityananda Svarup, have devotion and faith for Me."

Mahaprabhu says, "Those have faith for Nityananda Prabhu, actually have faith in Me. You can never get Me without faith in Nityananda Prabhu." Without devotion to the Guru, without devotion to Nityananda Prabhu, you cannot get the Lord.

inhara charana, siva-brahmara vandita
ataeva, inhare kari-o sabe prita

Nityananda Prabhu goes door to door distributing to you that very divine love that Lord Siva and Lord Brahma pray for!

How can you recognise Nityananda Prabhu. You will not recognise Him by looking at Him with your eyes. Our eyes are blinded with material dust—we cannot see anything without our eyes. We see the Deity as an idol made of stone, wood, brass.

How beautiful these words are. Do you understand it? We must sing this kirtan very well.
