Learn to Be Human

If you serve prasadam, the five diseases go away. These five diseases are listed in the calendar. You can read it carefully there.

Actually, you can give class just by reading the calendar. Before these things were not in the calendar, but I have put it there so that people can know it and understand it. Only I give class and you listen—why cannot you give class? What is the problem? If you can give a class sometimes, I want to hear it. I tell you these things every time, you too must learn these things.

What did Mahaprabhu say? "I have come to this house and I will not come here again. Now you must make all the villagers devotees. It is your responsibility. Come with them to Nabadwip, to Puri, to Ekachakra, Vrindavan. Make pilgrimage with them and they will get some devotion." This is not easy—you must shed gallons of blood to make somebody a human.

Do you remember what Rabindranath Tagore said? "সাত কোটি সন্তানেরে, হে মুগ্ধ জননী, রেখেছ বাঙালি করে মানুষ কর নি । This great multitude of children, O doting mother, confining them to a Bengali identity, you have not let them discover the greater in humanity." It is necessary to learn to be human.

Sanatan Goswami:
On the Way to Mahaprabhu
Having escaped from the jail, Srila Sanatan Goswami Prabhu begins his journey to Mahaprabhu and faces more obstacles on his way: clever dacoits, unexpected bad association, and a family snare.

Yadi gaura na ha'ta
'I chant 'Gauranga', but have not melted (with love). How have I maintained this body? How has Providence made Vasu a stone rather than a heart?'
যদি, গৌর না হ'ত

Our practising life is not for one day, not for two days, not for one month—whatever
practice we do, we have to do it everyday.
