(16/22) Come Home with Me His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad
Please take the books with you. I have books called Upadesh – I wrote it cased on the teachings of various scriptures (Bhagavatam, and so on). You do not have to give me any money; it will be better if you take books with you instead. Read them and you will see, you will like them. My books are written in simple language. You will find in them everything I have told you today and yesterday. What I am telling you is based on Bhagavatam. You can see this book here, Sri Gaudiya Kanthahara – it contains 155 verses. We do not have this book printed from our temple, but Chaitanya Math has it. I read it sometimes. Gurudev told me to read it, so I read it. [His Divine Grace reads from Sri Gaudiya Kanthahara] You can see that what I have just told you is also written here. Do you remember what I told you? When people do some pious actions, they go to heaven and enjoy there for as long as their piety lasts; but when their piety runs out, it is an indisputable truth that they will have to fall down from hell by the influence of time. This is written in Bhagavatam. Gita also says the same thing: karmis (selfish workers) perform good deeds and attain heaven; they enjoy heaven and when their piety finishes, they have to again come down to the human plane. Have I not told you the same thing? You have to come back. But if you surrender to Lord Govinda and come to Him, you will not have to come back from there. The Lord is crying for us. We are parts and parcels of the Lord, we come from the Lord, and we should come back to our own home (back to home, back to Godhead, as Srila Swami Maharaj used to say). Come back to your home, come back to the Lord. I have come here to take you all back to your home. If you come with me, you will be able to come there. Hearing this, you think, 'Oh no! My wife and son will now go with him!' No. I am not telling you to physically come with me – I am saying that you must leave Maya's family and come to Krishna's family. I have told what Bhagavatam and Gita, authentic revealed scriptures, say. It is also said:
চারি বর্ণাশ্রমী যদি কৃষ্ণ নাহি ভজে ।
chari varnasrami yadi krsna nahi bhaje 'Whatever varna (a priest, fighter, manager or worker) or ashram (a celibate, householder, renouncer of the household life or monk) you belong to, if you do not worship Krishna but engage in your prescribed duties, you will have to fall into a terrible hell.' (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 2.22.26) Raurav is one of the names of hell. There are many kinds of hell. Raurav is a very severe place. You know, when you fry pakoras or eggplants, you heat oil in a pot (kadai) and when you put the pakora or eggplant into it, the hot oil begins to splutter – you get fried in boiling oil just like that when you come to raurav. So, there is no use being a brahman, ksatriya, vaisya or sudra, there is no use dressing up as a brahmachari, grihastha, vanaprastha or sannyasi – unless you worship Krishna, you will have to go to the raurav hell. This is what the scriptures say.
