If you want to come to Krishna, you must serve His devotees.

রাধা-ভজনে যদি মতি নাহি ভেলা ।
কৃষ্ণ ভজন তব অকারণে গেলা ॥

radha-bhajane yadi mati nahi bhela
krsna-bhajana tava akarana gela

‘If you have not become devoted to the worship of Sri Radha, your worship of Krishna has been in vain.’

Whom does Krishna belong to? 'Radhara dasira krsna sarva-vede bole (রাধার দাসীর কৃষ্ণ সর্ব্ব বেদে বলে). Krishna is the property of the maid servants of Srimati Radharani. All Vedas say this.'

রাধিকা দাসী যদি হোয় অভিমান ।
শীঘ্রই মিলই তব গোকুল কান ॥

radhika-dasi yadi haya abhimana
sighrai milai taba gokula kana

'Those who pride themselves on being maidservants of Radhika will quickly come to meet Gokula Kan (Krishna).'

What is our highest ideal of worship? Mathura-viraha. If we cannot understand what mathura-viraha is about, we will never be able to participate in service to Krishna. Mathura-viraha is our main ideal, and mathura-viraha is something we should always remember and think about. It is the most valuable thing we have in our lives, and we must keep it in our hearts. If we cannot do it, we will not be able to understand anything no matter what we do.

দুঃখ-মধ্যে কোন্ দুঃখ হয় গুরুতব ? ।
কৃষ্ণভক্ত-বিরহ বিনা দুঃখ নাহি দেখি পর ॥

'duhkha-madhye kona duhkha haya gurutara?'
'krsna-bhakta-viraha bina duhkha nahi dekhi para'

'Of all kinds of sadness, what is the biggest sadness?' 'I do not see any other sadness except for separation from a devotee.'

(Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, 2.8.247)

What is our greatest sadness? There is no other sadness except for separation from a devotee. Never forget this. We must always think about our separation from Krishna and from His devotees. This is the most precious thing for us, and we must always keep it in our hearts. We have been living in separation from Krishna for a very long time. We left the Lord, but He is crying for us – we are His lost children, and He is looking for us, waiting for us to come and serve Him again.

You must practise and develop Krishna consciousness. Practise every day. Think about Krishna. If you can do it, you can get to participate in the Lord's service. Whom does Krishna belong to? To Srimati Radharani. Who is Radharani? She is non-different from Sri Gurupadpadma. If we take shelter at the holy feet of a bona fide guru, he will give us the right to join the service to Sri Sri Radha-Krishna. Always remember this; never forget it.

Our Gurupadpadma has given us all responsibility to preach about the Lord (particularly about Mahaprabhu) in this world.

পৃথিবীতে আছে যত নগরাদি গ্রাম
সর্ব্বত্র প্রচার হইবে মোর নাম

prithivite achhe yata nagaradi grama
sarvatra prachara haibe mora nama

‘My Name will spread to every village and town on this earth.’

(Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu)

This was Mahaprabhu's declaration, and it was our guru-varga who preached about it all over the world. We must pray and we pray to them – if we can pray to their holy feet and engage ourselves in their service, then we will always be able to live serving the Lord.

What we forget is that the Lord is always worshippable ‒ He is an eternal object of worship. Worship should be eternal, daily. We go to the bathroom every single day, we pass stool every single day, we bath every single day. We cannot worship the Lord only for one day. You do not bath only once a year, do you? You do not eat only once a year, do you? Just as we eat every day, we should offer food to the Lord every day, too.
