One year, when we were going on parikrama in buses, there was some jam. You saw a party walking ahead, but you may not have seen them before at our temple. Who is called a disciple of Srila Sridhar Maharaj? A disciple is not somebody who simply takes initiation. Being a disciple means submissively following the word of your guru, placing it on your head. Srila Sridhar Maharaj said, 'If somebody does not follow Govinda Maharaj, they are not my disciple.' And if somebody takes sannyas from another temple, it means that they have left, giving up Srila Sridhar Maharaj's line – Gurudev said that such persons cannot be considered members of Chaitanya Saraswat Math. This is what I wanted to tell you today.

Actually, before also, in Srila Prabhupad's time, Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur said that only Bimala Prasad (Srila Saraswati Thakur) was able to know who Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur was (he could understand that he was Srimati Radharani's associate). As for his other sons (Lalita Prasad and others – they still have followers, especially in Midnapore and Birnagar), Srila Prabhupad told them, 'Baba badha Radha (বাবা বাধা রাধা): seeing Bhaktivinod Thakur as a father is an obstacle to seeing him as Radharani.' I have told you about the meaning of these words many times. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur received Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur's power, but his brothers (other sons of Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur) could not get his mercy because they only saw their father in Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur – they thought about their blood connection.

In Srila Sridhar Maharaj's time also, somebody claimed, 'Oh, he was my uncle!' There are also some people at the temple now who say, 'Govinda Maharaj is my uncle!' How can a sannyasi be anybody's uncle? Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj often said, 'I am not anybody's uncle. I am only my Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj's fanatic, blind disciple.' He did not know anything except his Guru Maharaj.

As Prahlad Maharaj prayed to the Lord, we too must pray, 'May I have the same attraction and pull towards You that I now have towards this material world.'

Before you go home, please take some books with you. New English books have come today, and there are also many Bengali books. Take the calendars with you so that you know what festivals and when there are going to be at our temple.
